Indian Creek Nature Center is Iowa's first and only private, nonprofit nature center, with more than 500 acres of woodland, wetlands and prairie and over 5 miles of trails in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The Nature Center is headquarted in the Amazing Space building, which is one of only 31 Living Building Challenge Petal Certified buildings in the entire world and the only in Iowa, making it one of the m

ost sustainable buildings in the world. Indian Creek Nature Center's mission is to create a more sustainable future, through environmental education, providing leadership in land preservation and restoration and encouraging responsible interaction with Nature. There is no fee to visit the Nature Center, small fees are charged for specific programs. Our Calendar of Events and more information can be found on our website.

BIG NEWS! Education Manager Andria Cossolotto has been given a national award for her work advancing environmental education!

On Wednesday, the Cedar Rapids Garden Club presented Andria with the Garden Club of America's Elizabeth Abernathy Hull Award. The NATIONAL award recognizes the outstanding achievements of individuals furthering early environmental education of children.
