One week down in Texas so far, with the send off ceremony and final send off from Cedartown at our backs. With moral high, soldiers are implementing personal fitness schedules amongst the multiple daily taskings and meetings, both mentally and physically preparing for the Culminating Training Event (CTE) later this month and on to JMRC in Germany.

Our guys are killing it this week.

From the barracks to the field, we are always training hard. This last week was filled with Walk-Jog-Run phases of our collective training, giving opords and warnords, operating safely on STX lanes, then moving to dry, blank and eventually live rounds. The troop did well and learned a lot about their strengths and weaknesses. The last platoon finished strong and motivated, despite the storm bringing in wet and muddy weather.

Apache has successfully completed the first phases of our pre-mobilization down here at Ft. Stewart. With our individual training complete, we prepare for collective training over the next couple weeks, encompassing what we've learned, some for the very first time, into a team, squad and troop effort. We've accomplished much in our short time down here in addition to individual soldier training like weapons familiarization and qualifications; we've got an ACFT in the books, soldiers went through a Machine Gun Leader Course, and a select few went through the Raven course. Our goal is to have well trained and proficient soldiers making up an efficient, agile and cohesive team. Well done so far and good luck to these soldiers!

Our soldiers are going through OCIE showdown as they get ready for pre-mob! Time is moving quickly and having the proper equipment and uniforms is essential to our success as individuals and as a team.

Apache Troop was happy to promote two SMs this weekend, acknowledging the hard work, determination and dedication of SPC Richard Perez, and introducing SGT Benjamin Cates to the ranks of the NCO corps, who was privileged to be pinned by his wife during the ceremony.

Congratulations to these two soldiers on a job well done thus far, and we know they will continue to grow the strength, integrity, and leadership throughout the organization.

Apache Troop accomplished a lot this AT. Tasked with operating various ranges, they also trained on those ranges, running their soldiers through PMI, resulting in qualifications on the M2 .50cal, M4, MK19, and Shotgun, and even got to throw live hand grenades! It wasn't all work and no play, though, and Apache showed some serious skill on the field playing Ultimate Football in a friendly competition with their adjacent units.

It was a successful AT, and Apache was happy to promote two SMs. They also recognized the hard work and dedication of three NCOs who all received AAMs. In addition, four SMs received coins from the Squadron Command Team.
