Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there who've had to deal with our eye-rolling, door-slamming, and endless questions, but still managed to turn us into the people we are today. If you can, spend some quality time with your mom today. And remember, all those times you thought your mom was being overbearing, she was just trying to mold you into a responsible adult. Happy Mother's Day to our Heroes!

These are the type of moments that remind us of the sacrifices made by brave heroes. Our hearts are filled with love and support for our neighbors to the south. We celebrate the life of Sgt. Johnson with Haralson County Sheriff's Office and send our heartfelt condolences and prayers to his family as well as his blue family!

Sheriff Stacy Williams sorrowfully announces the sudden passing of Sergeant John Johnson, who suffered a medical emergency and died on duty today, May 1, 2026. Sergeant Johnson had been with the Haralson County Sheriff’s Office for 18 years. He began his career as a patrol deputy, later became an investigator, and for the last 10 years, he was attached to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation as a Drug Task Force Agent.

“I ask that the citizens join me in praying for his wife and children as they deal with the immense loss of a husband and father,” states Sheriff Stacy Williams. “John was a valued employee and a friend to many in this office. We mourn the loss of one of our own, and we want his family to know that we are here for them during this heartbreaking time.”

Talk about getting in your feels 😢…. Last night at The Polk County Commission Meeting Capt. Perry Davis was honored for his nearly 30 years of service to Polk County. Capt. Davis has managed to survive law enforcement for almost three decades 😮 and will be riding off into the sunset on May 13th. Capt. Davis has done it all on patrol, and has even commanded the troops for years.🫡 He will definitely be missed, his experience, his sense of humor, and most importantly his friendship to us all!! Enjoy Retirement Captain you deserve it. We are going to miss you!!!💙

It's Administrative Professional Appreciation Day here at the Polk County Police Department! A big, massive THANK YOU to our incredible team of administrative professionals who make everything possible. 🌟

Let's be real... they are basically the moms of the PCPD! 👮‍♀️ 💙 Who knows where our supplies are? (Usually in the supply closet). Who knows exactly which forms we need for EVERYTHING? (They do, obviously). They somehow magically coordinate dozens of people and keep our department afloat... and let's not forget the snacks and coffee! ☕ Seriously though, we COULD NOT do it without you.

We are so incredibly grateful for your dedication, your humor, your expertise, and for always being there to support us.

Thank you for being the glue that holds our department together! We appreciate you more than we can say.

What's one thing your administrative professional does that you just can't imagine living without? Tell us in the comments! 👇

We wanted to take a moment and give a huge round of applause to the wizards behind the curtain! We have some of the best dispatchers in the business, and we're not just saying that because we're related... oh wait, we kind of are! We bicker and fight like siblings, but at the end of the day, isn't that what family does? This is your week, and we want you to know that you're the real MVPs of our community. You don't always get the recognition you deserve, but trust us, we appreciate you more than words can say! Happy Telecommunications Week! 🫶
