Please join us celebrating the 103rd Modoc District Fair which is sponsored by the Modoc Heritage Foundation. We are pleased to announce for the first time the Modoc Heritage Foundation and the Modoc District Fairgrounds 34th District Agricultural Association are collaborating to present the Modoc County Fair Queen Contest during the 103rd Modoc District Fair.
The Modoc District Fairgrounds 34th District Agricultural Association is please to announce our contestant for this year’s Modoc County Fair Queen Contest is Miss Kati Hallmark. Kati is a Senior at Modoc High School who is actively involved in the Alturas FFA Chapter and is serving as the Chapter Reporter. Kati is a part of the Modoc Braves Varsity Basketball team and competes in High School Rodeo. During Kati’s spare time her hobbies include wakeboarding and snowboarding. After High School Kati plans to attend Weatherford College in Texas to earn her AA degree. Afterwards Kati plans to continue her education at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas majoring in AG Communications. Kati is the daughter of Steve and Liz Hallmark and has two siblings her sister Lily and her brother Jake.
The Modoc County Fair Queen Contest will be Saturday, August 24, 2024 at approximately 10:00 am. The contest will begin after the Rancher’s Day Junior Events at the Jeannie Stevenson Arena. During this part of the contest the contestant will demonstrate their horsemanship abilities. The final part of the contest will begin at 6:00 pm at Park Stage. The contestant will deliver a speech followed by coronation. Coronation will be presented by our current Modoc County Fair Queen Adelia Martinez.
