Mary Ann had this man and what he accomplished, in her heart for 22 years. Saturday’s presentation was heartfelt and the dedicated sign is beautiful. Route 553 if anyone would like to see it. In Newport.

Tomorrow! One of our seniors, Mary Ann Casper has been working on getting her wish completed! ✔️ Tomorrow it happens. Everyone is welcome to come!

Daniel Drayton sign unveiling and presentation is to be held on May 30th at 10:00 am at Downe Twp Senior Center. Captain Daniel Drayton was born in 1802 in Newport, NJ. We applaud him for his bravery in attempting to help slaves escape to the north and for protesting the doctrine that there was any such thing as property in man. While attempting to help 77 slaves escape aboard his ship "The Pearl", he was captured and imprisoned for over four years. "The Pearl Incident" resulted in a 3 day riot which provoked a slavery debate in Congress. This event ended the practice of slavery and slave trading in Washington, DC and provoked the "Agreement of 1859" which was designation of a new status of either Slave or Free.

Spreading joy through pictures of simple yet charming flowers! This fun and effortless craft is sure to brighten your day. We're also thrilled to share the remarkable transformation of our town's grounds at the center! Our grounds people do an amazing job. The beautiful outdoor furniture crafted by Joseph Pansa and the dedicated Boy-scouts from Troop 4, combined with the lovely gardens, has exceeded our expectations. To everyone who purchased a bench or flower planter in memory of a loved one, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your kindness and thoughtfulness. Together, we truly are a Village, united in our little community 🇺🇸

Sharing some of our latest days at our center! Haven’t taken too many pictures lately. I apologize. We’ve had a wonderful May, enjoyed an ice cream social; given by the Office on Aging, a Mother’s Day luncheon, etc. Puzzles are always happening here. Smiles and laughter always happen here. We also included a picture of the number of men and women who were lost fighting for our country. May your Memorial Day be filled with peace, gratitude and beautiful memories 🇺🇸Cedarville’s Memorial Day Parade is tomorrow at 1:30, on Main St. ♥️🤍💙
