Check out our summer reading challenge! Many books were adding to MackinVia as well!

Keep the pages 📖 turning this summer with our BeanStack Summer Reading Challenge as we also celebrate America's 250th birthday.

If your child would like to participate, they can log their minutes through BeanStack, which is accessible through Classlink and your mobile app store.

Just reading 30 minutes a day has a lot of benefits, including:
✅ Preventing the “summer slide” and keeping minds sharp
✅ Boosting vocabulary, comprehension, and imagination
✅ Discovering new interests and adventures through books
✅ Building a lifelong love of learning

Parents, this summer, we encourage you to set aside family reading time, take your children to the local library, or start a mini book club at home.

Congrats to our 5th graders that made the annual walk over the bridge to our middle school side of campus! We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see the amazing things you do in the next 3 years!

Today at our final staff meeting of the year we celebrating our successes and more importantly we celebrated 3 legends that devoted their lives to education. Mrs. Hamilton. Mrs. Phillips, and Dr. Pollzzie we wish you the absolute best in your retirement. You all will be missed tremendously by not only the students, but our staff. “A teacher takes a hand, opens a mind, and touches a heart. Thank you for touching so many.”

Your work in education and the impact you made will live on forever. You always have a home at CK8…once a member of the Pride always a member of the Pride!

We love the new tradition of yearbook signing parties for all that preordered yearbooks by the end of February. Thank you PTA for your help executing it! The students had a blast!
