Celina Firefighters had the privilege to host a training at Three Sons Salvage Yard tonight. This training involved vehicle extrication and stabilization, where we had 6 vehicles to cut up ,with multiple different scenarios. We would like to thank Three Sons for supplying the cars and allowing us to come out and train. We would also like to thank Firefighter Alec Schoenleben, auxiliary firefighters Dane Dwenger, Matt Schlater, and former Celina Firefighter Kane Swaney for instructing the class

Celina Firefighters are sad to share this news. We enjoyed working with Peng and his visits to the station with Gabe. Believe we always had a treat for him when they would visit. Thank you for your service to our community.

It is with deep sadness that the Celina Police Department announces the passing of retired K-9 Peng.

K-9 Peng faithfully served the community for nine years before retiring on December 30, 2024. Throughout his career, Peng served alongside his handler, Sergeant Gabe Bartlett, who partnered with him from the very beginning. Sgt. Bartlett welcomed Peng into his home during his entire service career and officially adopted him following his retirement, continuing to care for him until his passing.

K-9 Peng passed away on May 7, 2026.

The members of the Celina Police Department extend our heartfelt condolences to Sgt. Bartlett and his family during this difficult time. Peng’s loyal service and dedication to our department and community will not be forgotten.

🎓🚒 Scholarship Recipients 🚒🎓

The members of Celina Firefighters Local #2603 are proud to congratulate the recipients of this year’s scholarship. Each student was awarded $1,000 to help support their continued education at Celina High School’s annual awards banquet.

C-Shift was able to take advantage of the nice weather on Saturday. Some of our newer members were able to practice setting up the ladder truck as well as climbing to the top.

Today we would like to congratulate one of our own, Firefighter Mason Ayers, on graduating from the Ohio Fire Academy. Mason completed his fire training today and reached a major milestone in his firefighting career.

Several of our members were able to attend the ceremony to support him, including his sister Emma who is also on the Department and our Chief.

Congratulations, FF Mason Ayers! We’re proud of your hard work and are glad to have you as part of our department.

We’re excited to introduce Dylan Feister, who has recently joined the Celina Fire Department this week. Dylan has began getting involved with training and learning the operations of the department. Currently taking EMT-B classes and starts at Ohio Fire Academy in May. We’re excited to have him on our department and part of the team. He is a 2022 graduate of Celina Schools and still lives here in town.
