Deerwood Ranch Wild Horses Deerwood Ranch Wild Horse EcoSanctuary is a home for BLM's non-adoptable horses. KEEPING THE WEST WILD They are all geldings. All tours are guided tours.

Rich and Jana Wilson manage this herd of horses on this privately owned family ranch. The Deerwood Ranch offers long term, humane care for excess wild horses gathered from the range-lands by the BLM. All of the horses at the Deerwood were originally gathered in Wyoming. This is a working ranch and tours of the horses are available upon request with reservation only May-September. This is a private ranch.

Thanks so much to everyone who helped make this day a success. We couldn’t do it without family and friends who show up to help! Eight animals adopted, awesome vendors, good music, delicious lunch, trained mustangs on site and a beautiful day! Couldn’t ask for more! It was great seeing so many smiling faces from near and far! Thanks to all!

Our main goal for the events we put on is to get some mustangs adopted. I get it...not everyone has room for a horse in their back yard though. This is just a fun day to come out to the Deerwood and experience the ranch for the day. The scenery is amazing, fall colors are coming on strong and the weather is supposed to be gorgeous. Our vendors have been working hard to make your shopping experience lovely. Dave Herring has been preparing the fabulous lunch that will be served. He is offering smoked brisket, pork, pastrami. potatoes and beans. You can't get much "ranchier" (I don't think that's a word but I like it!) than that for a delicious meal! What a great way to spend the last Saturday in September. Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday!

BLM representatives will be on site to answer any questions and approve adoption applications.
** non gentled BLM yearlings and two year olds (male and female) will be on site for adoption. ** ONE B***o will also be available for adoption.
**Lunch from 11:00-2:00 Provided by Dave Herring, delicious smoked meat sandwiches and sides. Proceeds go to Shawn Herring Memorial Foundation. Ca$h encouraged.
**Gift Items-T-shirts, Sweatshirts, Photo Notecards, photos of the wild horses and gift items, hides, jewelry, home décor, baked goods, hand made bowls and baskets. We have several vendors this year! Come and appreciate a Farmers Market/Artistic Fair Vibe. Fall is in the air!
**Tractor rides or pick-up rides will be provided to view the 360+ wild horses who reside at the Deerwood Ranch. Tours to view the wild horses 9:30-2:30—leaving every half hour *Last tour @2:00 Tours are free to the public.
**We are thrilled to have a few adopted BLM Mustangs on site, giving people the chance to see how far they have come in their training journey. These horses aren’t guided by professionals, but by ordinary people who chose to take a chance on a Mustang and discovered something extraordinary. Questions: Call Jana Wilson 307-399-9956
