✈️💪 Turns out, it takes a whole Sheriff’s Office to pull a plane!

The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office was proud to take part in the 2026 Plane Pull benefiting Special Olympics Colorado and we’re pretty proud to say we were the top fundraising law enforcement agency! 🏆🎉

Our academy recruits, deputies, professional staff and members from across ACSO showed up, raised money, rolled up their sleeves and put some serious muscle behind an incredible cause. 💙

We may not have gotten that plane off the runway, but we definitely pulled together! 😉✈️

Thank you to everyone who donated, participated and supported our team. We’re proud to stand alongsideSpecial Olympics Colorado and their amazing athletes.

POV: You’re 2 years old, and the Sheriff’s Office just dropped its 2025 Annual Report.

We’re pretty sure this is the youngest person to ever conduct a full review. After all, his dad is a deputy, so someone has to make sure we're doing our job. 😂

We’ll be awaiting his findings... after he finishes his nap.

FIRE RESTRICTIONS LOWERED TO STAGE 1 — EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

Recent monitoring of fire danger, fuel moisture, and weather conditions shows that conditions have moderated enough to safely ease fire restrictions.

Beginning August 28, 2026, fire restrictions in unincorporated Arapahoe County, Centennial, Foxfield, and Deer Trail have been lowered from Stage 2 to Stage 1 by Sheriff Tyler Brown.

🚫 What’s Still Prohibited:
-- Open burning without a permit from the appropriate fire district
-- Use of personal fireworks

A weather alert you never hear... until you need it most. After 50 years, the Deer Trail NOAA Weather Radio system just got a major upgrade.

The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office is proud to partner with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the US National Weather Service Denver/Boulder Colorado to modernize this critical service, helping to ensure our communities continue to receive life-saving weather alerts when they matter most.

NOAA Weather Radio provides weather information 24/7 and automatically alerts you to watches, warnings, and other dangerous weather—even if the radio is turned off.

Here's what's new:
📡 Communication has been upgraded from analog phone lines to a more reliable 5G network.
📡 A new 300-watt transmitter (replacing the old 100-watt system) provides a stronger signal and improved coverage throughout the region.

For five decades, this system has helped keep people informed before severe weather strikes. These upgrades will help ensure it continues serving our communities for years to come.

NOAA Weather Radios can be purchased from most commercial stores or online.
