Join us on Sunday morning for a community 5K along the High Line Canal at James A. Bible Park with Latinos Run Denver. 💚👟

No pressure, no pace goals, just good energy and community miles. Come for the run, then stay for the snacks. ✨ You can also try a pair of Skechers as you move through the Canal.

Meet a vecino. Bring your familia. Invite your friends. Leave with new connections and a few extra endorphins.

Corre, camina, conecta en el Canal. ¡Nos vemos ahí! 💚

to the early 1900s 👀

These behind-the-scenes construction and maintenance photos show a version of the High Line Canal that looks very different from today. Many of the headgates, flumes and irrigation structures pictured are long gone — but their legacy helped shape the Canal we experience now.

History runs deep along these 71 miles. Learn more at highlinecanal.org/history

The High Line Canal’s history lives far beyond maps and infrastructure — it lives in the stories, memories and experiences of the people connected to it.

Did your family farm along the Canal? Do you have old photos, memories or meaningful moments tied to the corridor? We want to hear them.

Join us for our Canal Lore Story Collection Open House on June 2 to help preserve and celebrate the stories that have shaped the Canal across generations. Hear what we’re uncovering through our historic research project and contribute your own piece of Canal history.

Huge thanks to our volunteers and community trail stewards who showed up in Cherry Hills Village this past weekend to care for the trail we love. Together, 60 volunteers removed 130 pounds of trash and cleared 148 cubic yards of brush along 1 mile of trail. Special thanks to the Rotary Club of Denver Southeast for celebrating their EPIC! Day of Action with us!

The footbridge from the High Line Canal to the east side of Quincy Farm is being replaced for safety reasons! The old bridge was removed this morning, and we will be building the replacement (also a wooden bridge) over the next 4-6 weeks. The east side of the Farm is still open for visitors - please enter from the bike path along Quincy Avenue. Thank you!

Thank you to everyone who walked and rolled over to celebrate the opening of the newly enhanced Lee Gulch Lookout earlier this week! It was wonderful to see so many community members exploring the new amenities and enjoying this special place along the Canal together.

Located at the confluence of the High Line Canal and Lee Gulch trails, the enhanced overlook now features terrace seating, benches, a reimagined trail crossing, a boulder scramble, natural play features and views of one of the Canal’s three remaining wooden flumes dating back to its early days as an irrigation system serving the eastern foothills.

This project and opening celebration were made possible through the partnership and support of South Suburban Parks and Recreation, Arapahoe County Government and High Line Heroes who contributed to the Great Lengths Campaign. On a beautiful sunny afternoon, we gathered to celebrate this shared accomplishment and loved seeing visitors already making the space their own.

Have you visited the new Lee Gulch Lookout yet? We’d love to see it through your eyes. Snap a photo and tag us on social media!
