Peaceful Forest Taiko

What an incredible experience! The Mount Washington Valley Adult Day Center was thrilled to host Peaceful Forest for its 775th show, led by world champion Japanese Taiko drummer Takumi Kato and his three sons.

Since coming to the United States, the Kato family has been on an inspiring mission to share the beauty and tradition of Japanese Taiko drumming while spreading a message of peace, hope, and connection. Their goal is to bring their music to all 50 states and perform 1,000 times.

The powerful rhythms of Taiko are more than music—they bring people together, bridge cultures, and create moments of joy and connection.

We are so grateful for opportunities like this that allow our guests to experience new cultures, hear incredible music, and share in something truly special. What a memorable day with Peaceful Forest! Takumi Kato

Career Day at the Mount Washington Valley Adult Day Center!

Today, our guests had the opportunity to share stories about their careers and learn more about one another's lives. From a wide variety of professions and experiences, everyone brought something unique to the conversation.

It's wonderful to see how people from so many different backgrounds come together to form one big family. Every story shared helps us build stronger friendships, deepen connections, and celebrate the incredible lives and experiences that make our community so special.

The Mount Washington Valley Adult Day Center is proud to participate in the 2nd Annual Carroll County Veterans Coalition Military Family Fair tomorrow, August 1, beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Schouler Park in North Conway.

If you or someone you know is caring for an older adult, we invite you to stop by our information table to learn how the Mount Washington Valley Adult Day Center can support veterans, military families, caregivers, and older adults in our community.

The Mount Washington Valley Adult Day Center will be at the Military Family Fair on August 1, beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Schouler Park in North Conway, NH.

Stop by our information table to say hello, and learn more about the compassionate services and support we provide for older adults living with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and other physical or cognitive challenges. Nothing says summer quite like a beach day at the Mount Washington Valley Adult Day Center!

Our guests enjoyed a fun-filled day complete with beach-themed activities, refreshing mocktails, and delicious desserts. There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and wonderful memories made as we celebrated the joys of summer together.
