Welcome to the historic Nichols Memorial Library; Center Harbor's "Little Gem", built in 1910.

Come visit this community treasure where neighbors, friends and visitors gather to learn, explore, and grow. Nichols Memorial Library serves Center Harbor and adjoining communities in New Hampshire’s Lakes Region. Our collection includes include popular and classic books, magazines, audios and videos. We also provide online access to ebooks, downloadable audios, language study, genealogical recor

ds, and reference databases. Our services include public computer workstations, printer, copier, fax, and wi-fi access.

CHAIR YOGA RETURNS! Our instructor, Linda Hopper will be teaching Chair Yoga at the Library on Fridays at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. from Sept. 18 through October 30.
Aging gracefully is what we all want! Chair yoga provides us with a way to do just that. This class emphasizes stretching, balancing, deep breathing, meditation and relaxation. A wide variety of yoga poses are done seated in a comfortable straight back chair making the practice suitable for everyone! Please register soon as this is a very popular class, and space is limed. Class fee is by donation - give whatever you can afford.

Autumn Stretch, Strength & Balance For Adults 50+
Staying fit is what it’s all about as we age! Join instructor Sandra Frost, M. Ed, on Wednesday mornings for six weeks of autumn fitness fun; includes coaching, mild stretching exercise, light weight strength exercises and conditioning, and balance exercises for adults 50+. Dates: September 23, 30 and October 7, 14, 21, & 28. Each class is from 10 am – 11 am in the Library. Please bring water bottle, exercise mat and small hand weights. On Sunday, Nichols Memorial Library hosted George Morrison's presentation "Who Was John Stark"., made possible by New Hampshire Humanities. Mr. Morrison was quite knowledgeable and equally entertaining. The audience loved his program!
On Oct. 21, Mr. Morrison will travel to Wolfeboro Public Library to present "Benedict Arnold, Patriot and Traitor, sure to be equally fascinating!
