Incorporated in 2001, the City has grown from a single office in a strip mall to a full-service municipality with a $7.5 million budget. The City has a Community Center and Public Library complex that feeds the body and the mind. The Ballfield Complex offers baseball, softball, and football programs for our youth. Our Horticultural Department is hard at work keeping Center Point clean and beautifu

l. The Public Safety Department works in conjunction with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department to patrol our streets and enforce our ordinances. The Center Point Senior Center is one of the most active in the area serving over 500 residents over the age of 55. Many parks are scattered throughout the city that allow for leisurely activities for all ages. Our business community, churches and local schools also help to keep the City strong. With walking paths, lakes for fishing, and citywide events scheduled throughout the year, there is much to discover in Center Point.

Mr. & Mrs. Perry Oatman, It was an honor to be in attendance as this was a first for me as Mayor. We wish them a blessed union and many years of happiness! ❤️❤️❤️

Join us on June 4, 2026, at 6:30 PM at Refresh Family Church Event Center as we celebrate a historic milestone for the City of Center Point.

Witness the swearing-in of Chief Zandral Washington, the City’s first Police Chief, as she takes the oath of office and begins a new chapter in public safety leadership for our community.

This special City Council Meeting and Swearing-In Ceremony will be followed by a reception. Residents, community partners, family, and friends are invited to attend and share in this memorable occasion.
