We are launching a series entitled Meet The Volunteers.
At Center Point Ambulance, we strive to empower you with insight into the remarkable men and women you may encounter on calls, at fundraising events, and around town.

This week we will start off with our President Don Donley. Don has been with the service since 2004. In 2020, Don retired from Collins to run full-time on the service. Before working at Rockwell Collins as a sheet metal worker, Don was in the Army. In the Army, Don was a surgical tech and medic. Don runs as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) with our service. When Don is not working on the ambulance, he enjoys spending time with his wife Angie, camping, watching hockey, fishing, golfing, and fishing. Don has seven children, 26 grandchildren, and a new puppy named Nala.

It’s been exciting to watch the progress from groundbreaking to where we are today!

Wouldn’t be possible without the support of our community and all the crews working daily!

From the November groundbreaking to today, the new Center Point Regional Ambulance building is coming together!

The new building, including a renovation to the attached home, will help serve the communities of Linn, Buchanan, and Benton County for years to come.

We love to see this progress!

💛National Public Safety Telecommunication Week💛

This week, we proudly celebrate National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, honoring the dispatchers who are the calm voice in the chaos.

Often working behind the scenes, they are the true first first responders, and their impact is felt throughout the entire community.

As we celebrate, we want to give a big shout out to Lawerence and Austyn! Both of these dedicated individuals work full-time as dispatchers, while also remaining active members on the ambulance. Their commitment to serving our community does not go unnoticed!

To our own dispatchers at Linn County Deputies' and Dispatchers' Association and all dispatchers, thank you for your dedication and commitment to public safety. We appreciate you this week and every week. 💛📞🚨

Building Update!🚑🎉

Over the past month, we’ve seen substantial and exciting progress on the building. All interior and exterior concrete has been poured. While weather conditions created a few unexpected delays, the recent stretch of sunshine has allowed crews to regain momentum and make significant strides forward.

Work continues daily as the project steadily advances into the next stages. Interior electrical installation is progressing well and is expected to be completed soon, which will pave the way for additional finishing work throughout the building. Inside finishes have begun, including work in key areas such as the bathrooms and the medical storage area. These spaces are starting to take shape as fixtures, framing, and other detailed elements are installed.

Each week brings visible progress. We truly appreciate all of the continued support throughout this process and cannot wait to share the finished project with everyone once it’s complete!
