Good Morning, in reviewing the data that has come in Doddridge County only has 2 entries in the survey from this past flooding if you had any damage no matter the amount please take time to fill out the survey. If you are having problems or need help filling it out, WV-211 is available to help fill out the survey call them between the hours 8:00 am and 4:00 pm

Rounds of showers and storms are expected today through Saturday night. Locally heavy rain could result in flash flooding, especially on Friday and Saturday. In addition, isolated strong storms are possible this afternoon and evening, with the threat being damaging winds. Please keep updated on the....

Widespread showers and thunderstorms are forecast across the area this afternoon and into the evening, with some capable of becoming severe. The environment supports a multi-hazard threat.
Primary Threats Include:
💨 Damaging Winds: This is the main threat. Swaths of 50–60 mph gusts will be possible in severe storms, with isolated gusts up to 70 mph.
🌧️ Torrential Rain: Heavy downpours will accompany these storms, which may cause highly localized flooding.
🌪️ Tornadoes & Hail: A line-embedded tornado or two and isolated instances of quarter-sized hail are also possible.
Timing: Storms may develop as early as noon and continue into the evening.

TUESDAY SEVERE/DAMAGING WIND THREAT‼️- Numerous severe thunderstorms are expected across a large region, with large swaths of STRAIGHT-LINE WINDS (up to 70mph🌬️), Large Hail, and possibly a few tornadoes🌪️during the afternoon & evening hours of Tuesday.

🔴A greater area of severe/destructive wind threat may exist across Eastern , , , & . This region will be ahead of an unseasonably strong upper jet stream with over 3000CAPE, effective shear of 50+kts, and straight hodographs. All of these are textbook indicators of multiple wind swaths (Derecho Possible) from Tuesday afternoon and well into the overnight hours.

PLEASE BE WEATHER AWARE and keep an eye on weather forecasts as we get closer. Advised to not be sleeping naked. :)

NEXT SEVERE WEATHER CHANCES⁉️- For portions of the River Valley and spreading across the Mid-Atlantic for Saturday could yield for the risk of organized storms capable of ALL-SEVERE HAZARDS⚠️, including a tornado threat that may develop closest to the warm front.

Watching closely and will be posting more details about timing and which hazards will be the dominant threat! Stay tuned!

Summer-like weather will continue through the week, with highs in the 80s, and mainly afternoon and evening showers and storms possible each day in some areas. Any thunderstorms that do form in southeast Ohio and northern West Virginia this afternoon and evening can become strong to marginally severe, with the primary hazard being damaging wind. Showers and storms are most likely with a system late Thursday through Thursday night, and then again with a strong cold front this weekend.
