We had a good day yesterday with the Food Bank. A late truck, a few broken eggs, some missing helpers, but we served over 100 families and got everyone through the line by noon. We praise and thank God for providing the food and the willing hands of the helpers.
At this time, we are in need of a secure place to put a donation barrel in the Perry area. We have the churches who collect for us but we like a barrel in a public place for those who just want to drop off a few items that they pick up on sale, etc.
We also need volunteers in Perry, who would be able to pick up donations,( food items) with a short notice and bring them to the Pantry in Center. Our volunteers are not always available and we are driving from New London and Center to do pickups.
And as always, we appreciate any volunteers, we have days that we pick up several loads of food and unload, and stock shelves for pantry days, fill boxes for delivery and maybe make deliveries to some families. Again, God always sends the helpers we need but if you want to donate a few hours a month to help, you will be blessed. Again, we thank all of our donors and volunteers. Couldn’t do it without you all. K
And to clarify, the Ralls County Food Pantry is supported by donations only and is completely separate from the Missouri Food Bank, we just distributed the food sent from the state to provide more for our Ralls County Families.
