HILLIAR TOWNSHIP ZONING COMMISSION
NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETINGS

The Hilliar Township Zoning Commission will hold the following additional special meetings to continue the review and development of the proposed Hilliar Township Zoning Resolution draft.

All meetings will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Hilliar Township Hall, 5120 Columbus Road, Centerburg, Ohio 43011.

Meeting Dates:

Monday, July 27
Monday, August 24
Monday, September 28
Monday, October 26

These meetings are open to the public. The Zoning Commission will review, discuss, and consider revisions to the proposed zoning resolution draft and any other matters that may properly come before the Commission.

🚧 ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE 🚧

Gilbert Road will be closed on Tuesday, June 30, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM for a culvert replacement.

Reynolds Road will be closed on Wednesday, July 1, and Thursday, July 2, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM each day for two culvert replacements.

Please plan alternate routes and allow additional travel time during these closures.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as these improvements are completed.

PUBLIC NOTICE-INVITATION TO BID
Hilliar Township is accepting sealed bids for the purchase and upfitting of a new snow plow truck for the Township Road Department.

Bid specifications are available through the township. Sealed bids will be opened and reviewed during the regular Hilliar Township Trustee Meeting on July 8, 2026, at 7:00 PM at the Township Hall, located at 5120 Columbus Road, Centerburg.

The new truck will help support winter snow and ice operations, road maintenance, and township service needs.

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Hilliar Township Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 6:30 PM at the Hilliar Township Hall to consider proposed amendments to the Hilliar Township Zoning Resolution. The proposed amendments include Section 7.27 (Sign Regulations) and Section 7.31 (Flag Shaped Lots and Definition of Flag Lot). Copies of the proposed amendments are available for public review on the Hilliar Township website and may also be examined at the Hilliar Township Hall prior to the hearing.

Residents and interested parties are encouraged to attend and provide public comment regarding the proposed amendments.

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Hilliar Township Board of Trustees adopted Resolution No. 2026.10 on June 10, 2026, regarding vehicle parking on Cardan Lane.

The resolution establishes no parking on Cardan Lane at any time.

The regulation will be posted in five conspicuous places in the township for 30 days and published for three consecutive weeks on the Hilliar Township website and page before becoming effective.

Violations of the regulation may be enforced as provided under Ohio Revised Code Section 505.17.

Residents and interested parties may review the resolution on the Hilliar Township website.

HILLIAR TOWNSHIP NOTICE

Pending weather conditions, paving work is scheduled for next week on Lytle Road and Wilson Road.

Both roads will be temporarily closed during paving operations. Local traffic access may be limited at times, and motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes and allow additional travel time.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as these roadway improvements are completed.

NOTICE TO OWNERS AND HEIRS OF UNUSED CEMETERY LOTS AT EASTVIEW CEMETERY
Hilliar Township has identified cemetery lots at Eastview Cemetery that were purchased between 1936 and 1967 for which there has been no evidence of use and no contact with the township for many years. The following owners are hereby notified, and a list of such owners will be included as part of this notice.

Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 517.073, the owner’s interest in the lot or right will cease unless the owner or the owner’s heir responds to Hilliar Township within one hundred eighty (180) days of this notice.

To preserve your interest, you or your heir must respond to Hilliar Township, 5120 Columbus Rd, Centerburg Ohio 43011 in writing no later than:

JANUARY 1, 2027

The purpose of the hearing is to review proposed text amendments to the Hilliar Township Zoning Resolution, including:

Section 7.27: Sign Regulations
Section 7.31: Flag Lots

The proposed text amendments will be available for public examination for at least 10 days prior to the hearing at the Hilliar Township Hall and on the Hilliar Township website.

After the conclusion of the public hearing, the matter will be submitted to the Hilliar Township Board of Trustees for its action.

Hilliar Township will hold an emergency meeting at 10:00 AM April 28th at the Hilliar Township Office, 5120 Columbus Rd, Centerburg, OH 43011.

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss and take action regarding employment and the hiring of a township employee.

This meeting is being called to address an immediate need related to township operations.

This meeting is open to the public.
