The Officers and Members of the Centereach Fire Department are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Life Member Bruce Katt.

Bruce proudly served as a member of Engine Company 3 before continuing his dedicated service with the Fire Police Company. Throughout his years of commitment to the department, he exemplified the spirit of volunteerism and brotherhood that defines the fire service.

Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences are with Bruce’s family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him during this difficult time.

Rest in Peace, Brother. You will never be forgotten.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ladies Auxiliary Life Member and former Vice President, Mickey Wolf.

Mickey was a dedicated member of the Centereach Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary whose leadership, kindness, and unwavering commitment left a lasting impact on our organization. Her friendship and years of service will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and serving alongside her.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Mickey’s family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

On the 25th Anniversary of September 11, 2001, the Centereach Fire Department invites our members, neighbors, and the entire community to come together in remembrance of the 2,977 innocent lives lost, the courageous first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice, and the countless heroes who answered the call that day.

Together, we will honor their memory, reflect on the strength and resilience of our nation, and ensure that future generations never forget the events that forever changed our country.

The ceremony will include a candle lighting, music performed by the Centereach High School Choir, and refreshments following the service.
