Centerton Police Department Official page for the Centerton Police Department, managed by the Centerton Police Department Public Information Officer.

The Centerton Police Department was formed in 1996, consisting of two sworn officers. Today, the Department has grown to 32 Sworn Officers and four Professional Staff, as well as oversight of the Centerton Animal Services. Two of our Professional Staff consist of our Police Clerks, who run and maintain our day-to-day operations. Another is our Code Enforcement Officer, a civilian member of the dep

artment who is tasked with enforcing City of Centerton Codes and Ordinances. Finally, we employ a Certified Evidence Technician, whose sole job is maintaining all evidence for the Centerton Police Department. There are currently 2 Main Divisions within the department that cover multiple specialties. Uniformed Patrol - This Division covers Regular Patrol Officers and Patrol Supervisors, our Traffic Unit, K-9 Unit, School Resource Officers, Crisis Negotiations and Intervention, and Code Enforcement. Criminal Investigations Division (CID) - This Division consists of four Detectives who investigate any and all crimes for the City of Centerton. Our Detectives also control Centerton's s*x offender registrations and compliance. There is a Domestic Violence Coordinator Detective to assist survivors after certain incidents, to provide resources. Centerton's Patrol Division is the department's first line of contact. These men and women are the ones on the front line, taking the initial calls for service. The Patrol Division functions under four shifts, consisting of three Patrol Officers, a Patrol Corporal - the first line supervisor, and the Patrol Sergeant - The leader of their respective shifts. Chain of Command:

Lieutenant - who supervises the Patrol Sergeants and manages all needs for our officers. Captain and Chief of Police - Both manage and supervise all Divisions and administrative duties for the Police Department.

The Centerton Police Department is committed to continually improving our response to victims of domestic violence, s*xual assault, stalking, and intimate partner violence.

This week, members of our department are attending the Conference on Crimes Against Women to receive advanced training and education from experts across the country. These conferences provide valuable insight into investigations, victim-centered responses, offender behavior, evidence collection, and prosecution strategies in crimes that deeply impact individuals and families.

By investing in continued education and specialized training, we are working to better serve survivors, strengthen investigations, and enhance the safety of our community.

We are grateful for every opportunity to bring additional knowledge, resources, and best practices back to Centerton as we continue striving to provide compassionate, professional, and trauma-informed responses in these cases.

💙 Law Enforcement Appreciation Week 💙

This week, we recognize and thank the men and women in law enforcement who serve our communities with courage, professionalism, and dedication every single day.

Behind every badge is a person who misses holidays with family, works long hours, answers difficult calls, and willingly steps into unpredictable situations to help others. Their commitment to protecting and serving does not go unnoticed.

We also want to thank the families of law enforcement officers who stand beside them through the challenges and sacrifices that come with this profession.

To our officers, dispatchers, support staff, and all first responders — thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your continued dedication to keeping our community safe.

Please join us this week in showing appreciation for all law enforcement personnel. 🚔

Sometimes all it takes is one positive interaction to change a child’s perspective. 💙🚔

We recently received a message from a parent asking if one of our officers could stop by because a child was nervous around police officers and wanted them to see that police are friendly and here to help.

Our officers were more than happy to stop by, show off the lights, and spend some time with the kids. By the end of the visit, smiles replaced fear and excitement took over.

Moments like these are why community engagement matters. Building trust starts with simple conversations, positive interactions, and showing kids that we’re always here for our community. 💙

The parents/guardians provided permission for the children shown in the videos/photos to be posted without identity blurring.
