The Centerville CSD has changed the last day for students to now be Monday, June 5th. This will allow the district to take advantage of an incredible professional development opportunity for our staff!

***Additional Information: We had some requests for additional information about our hours for the school year. We will have 1091 hours for this school year. This is 11.5 hours less than were originally scheduled for this year and provides us with 11 hours over the required number (1080). This reducation in hours is the result of late starts, early outs, and canceling the June 6th makeup day.

One reason districts typically have hours above 1080 is to ensure that there are enough hours in each semester give a full unit for a high school course and to ensure that seniors have enough hours since they don't have to attend classes the last few days. Just a little insight into the process.

School Calendar Update: Since we are likely on the other side of rough winter weather, we wanted to update everyone on where we are with the calendar for the upcoming year. This year we had school canceled for the following 9/23 (pipe at CHS), 2/9 (weather), 2/16 (weather, and 2/17 (weather). Our last student day was originally slated to be May 31 with teachers coming one additional day on June 1.
We will now use the following schedule for the end of this year:
June 6 - Student Last Day (2 Hour Early Out)
June 7 - Staff Workshop
We managed to survive with a relatively mild winter all things considered which certainly helped with our makeup days not going further into June. Obviously, if a random “fog day” or something to that effect happened between now and the end of the year that would change things but, hopefully, we should be “out of the woods” on this soon.

The 6-12 Band Krispy Kreme Doughnut fundraiser delivery date has been postponed until Wednesday, March 8th, due to staff shortages on their end. The orders will be available for pickup at the high school starting at 3:30 pm on the 8th. Enter through the auditorium doors. The orders will be set up and filled in front of the trophy cases. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.
