🩸 One donation can save up to three lives. 🩸

Every day, trauma patients, cancer patients, surgery patients, and accident victims depend on blood that was donated before their emergency ever happened. When the call comes, there’s no time to make blood, it has to already be on the shelf.

Join us on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Centerville Fire Station, 325 E. St. Mary’s Street, and help make a lifesaving difference.

You don’t have to wear a badge to be a hero. You just have to care.

✅ Save lives
✅ Receive a limited-edition Texas donor hat
✅ Receive a $25 eGift Card
✅ Help ensure blood is available when someone’s worst day becomes today

Whether you donate regularly or it’s your first time, we encourage everyone who is eligible to participate.

Together, we can make a lifesaving difference, one donation at a time. ❤️🩸

⚠️ PUBLIC SAFETY AWARENESS ⚠️

Over the next several weeks, Texas will host multiple major international soccer events in College Station, Houston, and Arlington. With Interstate 45 running through our community, increased traffic and travel activity are expected throughout the region.

We are not trying to alarm anyone, and we hope these events pass without incident. However, preparedness and awareness are key components of public safety.

We encourage everyone to remain aware of their surroundings, stay with family and friends when traveling, and report suspicious activity to law enforcement.

Emergency responders throughout the region have spent the last several months training and preparing for these events and the situations they could potentially bring. Additional staffing and resources will be available across fire, EMS, and law enforcement agencies during these events.

Our priority remains protecting our citizens, their families, and those traveling through Leon County.

Stay alert. Stay safe. Stay prepared.

This Memorial Day weekend, the CVFD pauses to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Their sacrifice purchased the freedoms we enjoy every day, and their courage will never be forgotten. As we spend time with family and friends this weekend, we ask everyone to take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

From all of us at CVFD, thank you to our fallen heroes and the families who continue to carry their legacy. 🇺🇸🚒

Please celebrate safely, watch out for one another on the roads and waterways, and never forget the cost of freedom.

Happy EMS Week from all of us at the CVFD!

This week, we recognize the men and women of EMS who answer the call day and night to provide care, comfort, and lifesaving service to our communities. Whether it’s on the side of Interstate 45, in someone’s home, or during a major emergency, our EMS crews are always ready to respond.

Thank you to the paramedics, EMTs, dispatchers, first responders, and all emergency medical personnel who dedicate their lives to helping others. Your professionalism, sacrifice, and compassion do not go unnoticed.

We are proud to work alongside our local EMS partners every day. Stay safe, and thank you for everything you do for Leon County and beyond.

🚁 Community Information – Air Medical Membership Clarification 🚁

We recently saw a Facebook post with questions regarding air medical helicopter memberships and wanted to help clarify some information for our community.

The AirMedCare Network membership is not limited to only one helicopter service or only a “St. Joseph helicopter.” Our local air medical aircraft are all operated through Med-Trans, and the membership applies to several helicopters that commonly serve our area, including:

• Air Med 12 North – Centerville
• Air Med 12 South – College Station
• Air Evac 53 – Fairfield
• Air Rescue 127 – Crockett

These aircraft work closely with our local fire departments, EMS agencies, and hospitals to provide rapid critical care transport when needed.

While a membership is absolutely something we recommend families look into if financially doable, we also want the public to understand this:

No matter if you have a membership or not, CVFD and our EMS partners will do whatever it takes to get you or your loved ones the emergency care they need. Our crews make decisions based on patient condition and what gives someone the best chance at receiving the highest level of care possible, regardless of weather challenges, circumstances, or membership status.

Our priority will always be taking care of the people we serve.
