❤️🖤 What a wonderful day of pride, celebration, and community spirit in the City of Patterson!

🚗🎊🔑 St. Mary Parish Public Schools was thrilled to join family, friends, students, staff, community leaders, and supporters in celebrating Mrs. Lauren Williams Rentrop, Patterson Junior High School Principal and 2027 Louisiana Principal of the Year, with a special motorcade and Keys to the City reception!

❤️🖤From the cheers along the motorcade route to the warm welcome awaiting her at the reception, the celebration was a beautiful reflection of the tremendous impact Mrs. Rentrop has made on her students, school, and community.

🌟 We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the City of Patterson and the entire Patterson community for honoring one of our own in such a memorable way. Today, we didn’t just celebrate an outstanding principal—we celebrated leadership, education, community, and St. Mary Parish pride!

Brown (pictured first row in front of the podium, far right and dressed in blue), 9th–12th Grade Study Skills Teacher at Franklin Senior High School, for being recognized by the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) among 12 educators advancing their leadership journeys through Educational Leadership Alternative Pathway 4!

🍎 Through rigorous leadership training, valuable mentorship experiences, and successful completion of all program requirements, these educators are now eligible for Educational Leadership certification—an outstanding milestone in their professional journeys!

St. Mary Families:

This is to inform our families that there is a threatening TikTok reel circulating across the parish. The reel is the Cat in the Hat using Dr. Seuss style verbiage to threaten violence on schools and individuals.

Law enforcement agencies responded to reports immediately and are currently investigating.

It is important that our students (of all ages) understand that creating, sharing, or circulating messages relating to violence is a violation of law and school board policy.

Whoever created this TikTok and all those who shared it will face severe consequences through both law enforcement and the school district.

Safety is our top priority. All threats are taken seriously. No threat will be treated like joke or a hoax.

If any student, parent, or community member has additional information regarding this TikTok, we ask that you report to school administrators or law enforcement or use our anonymous reporting app found on all school websites.

The school district would like to thank all those that took these threats seriously and reported them.

Good Morning, St. Mary:

As I sit here this morning, sipping coffee and reflecting on our annual St. Mary Parish Public Schools Football Jamboree, I am so very proud of our event last night.

It was awesome to be part of a friendly atmosphere - a family atmosphere. I heard laughter. I saw smiles. Fans held gates open for each other, waited patiently in lines, cooperated with safety protocols. Friends caught up with each other and strangers introduced themselves with respect and kindness.

Seven school communities in one stadium…not one single problem. A fireworks-worthy event!

🏈✨ Friday Night Lights Are Shining Bright in St. Mary Parish! ✨🏈

🎉📣 The lights were on, the stands were spirited, and football season is officially back in St. Mary Parish!

🐝 🏈💙 The 2026 St. Mary Parish Public Schools Football Jamboree, hosted by Franklin Senior High School at J.C. Dry Stadium, brought our communities together for an exciting evening celebrating the talent, tradition, and tremendous school spirit of Berwick High School, Centerville High School, Central Catholic, Franklin High School, Patterson High School, Morgan City High School, and West St. Mary High School!

🎺🥁📣 🎆 From our student-athletes and coaches to our cheerleaders, dance teams, bands, and directors of bands, the sights and sounds and fireworks of Friday night football were on full display! Every cheer, touchdown, drumbeat, and note reminded us that these special traditions extend far beyond the field—they bring our schools, families, and communities together!

💙 A heartfelt THANK YOU to our sponsors, coaches, fans, municipal dignitaries, School Board members, school families, faculty, staff, directors of bands, and district officials whose support and dedication helped make this celebration possible!
