Free Radon Tests!!! Iowa has the highest average indoor radon levels in the nation. The Iowa average is 6.4 pCI/L compared to the national average of 1.3 pCi/L. Nearly 7 in 10 homes in Iowa test above EPA action level (4.0 pCi/L). Please come in to get your free test, through this grant you may qualify for help with mitigation if your home tests high. Please share as Radon is colorless, odorless, and tasteless.

Did you know that Appanoose County Public Health has free sexual health products (condoms, dental dams, Plan B, pregnancy tests, and more). Please help yourself to these products in our lobby. We also have Molly with Outreach Prevention Services in our office twice per month providing free, confidential STI screenings.

We can't thank Give Grace, Give Hope enough for their recent donation of feminine hygiene supplies! Because of their generosity, we are able to keep our pantry fully stocked and provide essential menstrual items to women in need. Support like this truly makes our community a better, more supportive place.

Give Grace, Give Hope seeks to eliminate the gap between need and access of menstrual products in Iowa. This is accomplished by supplying pads and tampons to schools, human service organizations, and homeless shelters.
