Central City FFA Stay in touch, get involved, and support the local Central City FFA Chapter!

The Central City FFA Chapter is an organization that is very active within the community. We are working to make ourselves better leaders and impact as many lives as possible. Between the FFA monthly meetings, contests, and some in-classroom activities we will be sure to keep you updated on the things happening within the Central City FFA Chapter!

Farm Progress Show 2026.. we had a great time learning and seeing all things Ag!

We loved being in the fields and seeing all the equipment!

We are loving our beginning days of canning 101!

If you are donating produce, (we are so grateful), we would like it for the classroom from Friday, September 4th through Wednesday September 9!

Items can be left at school or I’m willing to
Come and get things. Please let me know.

Things we are trying:

Tomatoes
Peppers -
Green beans
Sweet corn

And willing to try new things! Give me a suggestion.

Hey Central City families… I’m needing some help.

We are planning a canning and freezing lesson and before I buy things I was wondering if anyone has any to donate to the school?

1. Tomatoes — great for juice/freezing/or cooking with … a few or a bunch either way works! Looking to get a bushel

2. Peppers - red, green, yellow or jalapeño

3. Sweet corn - anyone have any left?

4. Green beans?

I know I might be a bit late for some but just checking.. have a suggestion let me know!

Canning supplies

A. Jars, rings, lids, both pint and quart welcomed! Trying to find about 40 total..

B. Canning tubs.. something deep enough I can put the jars into a water bath with.. Happy to just borrow! Looking for 3

As 4-H week wraps up at the Iowa State Fair we wanted to give a shoutout to Faith Meeker for showing her lamb for the 1st time at the State level.

It’s so awesome to see the growth from County Fair. That’s what it’s all about!
