April was a busy and exciting month at the library!
The week before Easter, we hosted our annual Easter Egg Hunt in the childrenโs area. This was a hit again this year! Kids had so much fun searching for the special egg they wanted to take to the circulation desk to receive a prize.
We also held five story time sessions during April. Earlier in the month, we shared photos from our Easter program. One of our story times featured the book ๐๐ก๐ข๐๐ง, the story of a patchwork elephant who learns to appreciate being himself. After the story, the children created their own patchwork elephants colored stickers.
We were also excited to welcome Officer Parker and Officer Vedo, K-9, to the library. Sheriff Westman and Captain Bauer joined us as well. The children were very interested in learning about Officer Vedoโs training and the important work law enforcement does to help keep our community safe. Thank you for visiting the library!
On April 23, we celebrated Earth Day by reading stories about planting trees, picking up trash, and reusing and recycling products.
Our final regular story time of the season was held on April 30. We read stories about strawberries and Motherโs Day, including ๐๐ค๐ฉ๐๐๐งโ๐จ ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ ๐๐๐๐ and ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ก๐ ๐๐ค๐ช๐จ๐, ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ฉ๐ง๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ง๐ง๐ฎ, & ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐ฝ๐๐ ๐๐ช๐ฃ๐๐ง๐ฎ ๐ฝ๐๐๐ง. Th children and their adults also made Motherโs Day cards together for the craft activity.
Summer Reading Program brochures were available for families to begin choosing programs they think their children will enjoy this summer. We will still have two special story times during the summer months:
โข June 18 โ 10:00-10:45 a.m.
โข July 16 โ 10:00-10:45 a.m.
Enjoy the pictures from April, and call the library if you have any questions about our programs!
