Main Street Central City congratulates the Central City Opera on the launch of their Summer Festival Season this weekend on June 27. Running through August 2, this year’s not-to-be-missed shows include "The Marriage of Figaro," "The Ballad of Baby Doe," "Master Class," and "CCO in Concert". It’s not just about great performances, at the Central City Opera House you are surrounded by history as you take your seat in a theater built in 1878. Oh what a day! We had so much fun with all of you yesterday and thank you for joining us for the 52nd Anniversary Celebration of Madam Lou Bunch Day presented by Main Street Central City. We also thank our Bed Race Teams beginning with 1st Place Winner, Easy Street and The Famous Bonanza Casino and our bed race participants XL Carpet Care, Rick’s Cabaret, Central City Cannabis, Century Casino Central City, Grand Z Casino & Hotel, Metro State University, Central City Opera, the bachelorettes “Racin’ da Bed to Wed”. A shout out also to our vendors such as Wahl Dough Donuts, Author Randi Samuelson-Brown and many more. We hope to see all of you back next year on the third Saturday of June 2027.
