A Note About This Year's July 4th Celebration

We appreciate our community's enthusiasm for Independence Day, and we want to make sure you have the latest information as you make your plans.

This year, we will not have a military flyover. We made requests to Portland's USAF Fighter Wing and airbases in Idaho and California, but with current military operations and heightened operational demands, our armed forces are unable to accommodate flyover requests at this time.

We're grateful for everything our service members do — and while the skies may be quiet overhead this July 4th, there's still plenty to celebrate together. Stay tuned for more details about this year's festivities!

⚠️ We have received water sample results for those addresses in SW Medford under the Boil Water Advisory issued yesterday, which show no bacteria present. The Boil Water Advisory has been lifted for all affected customers, and it is no longer necessary to boil water.

The advisory was a precaution to protect public health until testing confirmed that bacteria was not present. We thank the affected customers for their patience and cooperation during this time and apologize for the inconvenience this incident caused. For details, including the full list of addresses that had been affected, and FAQs, go to www.medfordwater.org/alerts.

Important Notice – Water Service Update

The Medford Water Commission has issued a boil water notice affecting a portion of its system following a brief loss of water pressure related to maintenance work in the Southwest pressure zone.
This notice does not impact customers within the City of Central Point.

Central Point’s water system remains fully operational, and your water is safe to use.

The affected area is limited to a portion of Medford Water Commission customers (approximately 600 connections). There is no disruption to service or water quality for Central Point residents or partner cities.
The Medford Water Commission is actively managing the situation and will provide updates, including a map of the affected area, through its website and notification systems.

If you have any questions about your water service in Central Point, please contact the City.

Only Rain Down the Drain
Here in Central Point, stormwater drains into a system of pipes, culverts and natural swales.
We can all help keep it working properly.
✅ Keep storm drains clear.
Leaves and debris can block drains and cause flooding. If you see a blocked or clogged drain, contact the Public Works Department at 664-3321.

🚫 Never dump anything down a storm drain.
This includes oil, paint, chlorinated water and other pollutants. Storm drains flow directly to natural streams - not a treatment plant. If you see illegal dumping, contact the Police Department at 664-5578.

💧 Keep Central Point Flowing
Our storm drain system plays a critical role for our community, especially during storm events. By doing our part, we can help prevent flooding and protect our local waterways
