💙 Did you know Central Academy of the Arts is a proud partner of the YMCA Y Mentor Program?

Through this partnership, students at our school are matched with a positive, caring adult who can provide encouragement, support, and a little extra one-on-one time. Sometimes, having just one caring adult in your corner can make all the difference. 🫶

Here’s the thing… we need more mentors! 👀

Help us celebrate our amazing drama teacher, Mr. Kyle Stelling! 🎭❤️

A big reason Mr. Stelling was nominated by our staff this month was because of his willingness to help others. He is always checking in with his colleagues, asking what they need, offering a helping hand, and looking for ways to make someone else’s day a little easier.

Last week, our second graders explored internal and external character traits while reading Picture Day Perfection! 📚✨

Students discussed how a character looks on the outside versus the qualities they have on the inside. This week, 4th graders in Mrs. Moore’s class had a blast reviewing one of their favorite dances, Sasha, in Mrs. Chapman’s music class!

This fun dance helps students strengthen their steady beat, rhythm, coordination, teamwork, and cooperation- all while giving them the chance to play, move, and learn together. 🥁🤝

🗺️ Our little cartographers were hard at work today in Mrs. Bradley’s 2nd grade class! After reading The Great Puppy Invasion, students created maps of the town of Strictville, bringing the story to life with their creativity and attention to detail. 🎭🧜‍♀️ The cast has been revealed! 🧜‍♀️🎭

Our 5th graders were SO excited this morning to find out who will be taking the stage in our production of The Little Mermaid KIDS! 🌊🐚✨

The excitement was contagious, but our favorite part was watching them cheer so sweetly for one another as each cast member was revealed. What a special group of students! 💙

We can’t wait to see them bring this magical story to life! Way to go, 5th grade! 👏

Today we welcomed our newest Cougars as our kindergarten students joined us for their very first day of school!

Now that every grade level is here, the 2026-2027 school year is officially underway, and we can’t wait to watch our students learn, grow, create, and shine together.
