⚠️ C.R.S. INTRODUCES NEW LOGO ⚠️

In an effort to update and renovate, we are proud to present the public with a new, innovative, and modern adaptation of our logo.

Our official logo was last updated and presented in the early 2000’s.

🚨Rescue 6 Given New Chainsaw and Pruning Saw 🚨

A huge thank you to Pickens County SC for providing Rescue 6 with two new vital pieces of equipment, an electric chainsaw as well as a pruning saw.

This new equipment is replacing a previously used gas powered chainsaw, which was in need of replacement. Before we could post about receiving this equipment, it was put to use on a motor vehicle accident involving an SUV and a tree that was in the roadway.

We’d also like to thank The Town of Central, S.C. Fire Department for their continued support and assistance on calls such as these!

Clemson University Fire & EMS has always been a pleasure to work with and a special group of people to all of us at Central Rescue Squad. Their professionalism and how they have always treated us with the utmost respect, is the perfect example of inter-agency operations.

We were deeply saddened to hear that one of their own is in need after losing his home, a loss we cannot even begin to imagine.

If you are able to help out, we have shared the information to donate to Sgt. Rollins’ family below.

CUFD Sgt. Terry Rollins and his family lost their home in a house fire on April 15. Although they were able to get out safely with their young boys and their dogs, they have sustained a significant loss. Help us to support Sgt. Rollins and his family during this time.

This evening at The Pickens County Council meeting, Pickens County EMS recognized agencies and their respective members for their effective actions during Cardiac Arrest events.

The Central Rescue Squad would like to commend our members who were granted the lifesaver award.

Chief Britain Tate (Left) and Lieutenant Hunter Vaughan (Right) received the award for their actions during a Cardiac Arrest event in November of 2024.

⚠️ Fire at Pickens County Landfill ⚠️

Pickens County Dispatch was alerted this evening of a fire at the Pickens County Landfill - 2043 Old Liberty Rd. In Liberty, SC. Units on scene reported a large fire and requested man power and Water Tankers. Central Rescue Squad was requested to supply a pull-behind light tower for scene lighting.

At this time the fire is under control, units will remain on scene throughout the night to monitor conditions. Please avoid this area if possible.
