Centralia Youth Commission

Centralia Youth Commission 25 Youth (7th - 12th Grade) and 10 Adult Members working together to make Centralia a better place.

The purpose of the Centralia Youth Commission is to provide our youth with a forum within which to interact with local, civic and governmental leaders to discuss the concerns of youth as identified in our community and to provide solutions and responses to those issues.

The Kaskaskia Region of the Illinois Principals Association held their annual Student Recognition Breakfast at Greenville College on March 13. Jordan Wiley of Centralia High School was recognized for his outstanding accomplishments at CHS including but not limited to his leadership, citizenship, academics, and performance in fine arts. Jordan will be graduating from CHS this May and plans on attending Eastern Illinois University next fall to major in Biology. Pictured are: Assistant Principal Mr. Bobby Brenneisen, Principal Dr. M. Reid Shipley, Jordan, and his parents Tony & Julie Wiley.

Volunteer for a couple of hours, one hour, a half hour.... whatever works for you. We appreciate whatever time you're able to spare.
