💗 SHE TRUSTED US WITH HER BABIES BEFORE SHE EVEN KNEW US. 💗

Kathy Jo came to us with her babies when they were just 3 days old.

She came from the same heartbreaking property as Jelly Bean and Licorice—where 14 living dogs were removed and 9 deceased dogs were recovered.

We expected a momma coming from that kind of situation to be scared. Protective. Suspicious of every hand that reached toward her newborn babies.

Kathy Jo surprised us all.

From DAY ONE, she trusted us with them.

She let us pick them up. Examine them. Change their bedding. Help her care for them. She simply watched us with those big, soulful brown eyes.

And we’ve wondered ever since…

Did she know?

Did she somehow understand that this time, the hands reaching for her babies were there to help?

That they would be warm? Fed? Safe?

Did she know she had finally found her saving grace? 🥹

We don’t know how many litters Kathy Jo has raised in her life. But we know one thing for certain:

These are her last babies.

Her puppies are growing up now. Soon they’ll leave and become somebody’s whole world.

But please don’t forget the momma who got them here.

Kathy Jo is patient. Gentle. Kind. Unbelievably soulful.

After spending so much of her life nurturing babies, it’s finally her turn to be nurtured.

Her turn for the ridiculously soft bed.
Her turn to be spoiled.
Her turn to be someone’s whole world.

Her turn to be the baby. 💗

The puppies will be available, and we know people will fall in love with them.

But somewhere out there, we need one very special person to look past all those adorable little faces, see the beautiful girl sitting behind them and say:

“I choose Momma.” 🥹🐾

Who would have thought that a little “unwanted” stray puppy, wandering around the Iuka countryside, would now be living the boat life with her new parents and new big brother?! Allow us to reintroduce Mary Moo Moo.
Also known as Lulu.
Also known as Chunky Monkey.
Also known as Miss Perfect.
Also known as HOW ON EARTH HAS NOBODY ADOPTED THIS DOG YET?! 😂

This girl is lazy like Sunday morning. ☀️ She has absolutely no interest in training for a marathon, climbing Mount Everest, or participating in any activity that sounds unnecessarily exhausting.

She WILL NOT potty where she lives because… ew. That would be gross. 💅 She’s a lady.

Want to go for a walk?
Sure. She’ll go.

Want to stay home, eat snacks, scroll TikTok and Facebook for three hours and accomplish absolutely nothing?
EVEN BETTER.

Want to binge an entire series while something warm, chunky and slightly snorty keeps your feet warm?
MARY MOO MOO HAS BEEN TRAINING HER ENTIRE LIFE FOR THIS POSITION. 😂

She is sweet.
She is squishy.
She is wonderfully low-key.
She has perfected the art of existing comfortably.

And LOOK AT THAT FACE. 🥹 In this picture she’s literally stopping to smell the dandelion like the precious little meatball she is.

Mary Moo Moo doesn’t need an exciting life.

She needs a couch. A human. Snacks. A little walk here and there. More snacks. And someone who understands that doing absolutely nothing together is, in fact, quality time. ❤️

💔 REMEMBER MARLEIGH? THE BLACK LAB EVERYONE FELL FOR? NOW MEET HER SON, HOMER. 💔

Not long ago, we introduced you to Marleigh—the incredible girl whose family was faced with a heartbreaking, life-altering situation that made keeping her impossible.

Well… this is her son.

His name is Homer. ❤️

And now, through the same heartbreaking circumstances, Homer needs somewhere to land too.

Please understand: this is not a dog who wasn’t loved.
This is what happens when life changes in ways nobody planned for, nobody wanted, and nobody could fix.

And Homer?

Homer is the kind of dog people spend years hoping they’ll find.

He is a big ol’ lap dog who apparently never received the memo that big dogs are not supposed to fit in your lap. 😂 He loves people. He loves attention. He loves being close. He loves pretty much everyone and everything.

There isn’t a complicated sales pitch for this boy.

He’s just GOOD.

Sweet as they come. Loyal. Loving. Gentle-hearted. The kind of dog who doesn’t just live in your house—he becomes part of the rhythm of your life.

The shadow following you from room to room.
The giant head resting in your lap.
The warm body beside you on the couch.
The face waiting for you when you come home.

A real, honest-to-goodness man’s best friend. 🥹

Homer has already had a family. He’s already known what it means to belong.

We don’t want him to forget what that feels like.

His world is changing through absolutely no fault of his own, and while we can’t give him back the life he knew, maybe one of you can give him the next chapter he deserves.

Marleigh got her second chance.

Now it’s her boy’s turn. ❤️

🚨 JELLY BEAN SHOULD NOT GROW UP HERE. 🚨

I need you to look at this face for a second.

Really look at him.

Jelly Bean came to us as a puppy, pulled from a house of horrors with his brother, Licorice. They came from a place no baby should ever know.

They survived it together.

Licorice got his happy ending.

Jelly Bean watched his brother leave.
And Jelly Bean is still here.

And that is absolutely breaking our hearts.

Because somehow, after everything this little boy experienced at the very beginning of his life, he still thinks the world is wonderful.

He LOVES people.
He LOVES kids.
He LOVES other dogs.
He LOVES water.
He plays like there is no tomorrow, snuggles like he has known love his entire life, and proudly carries around the most ridiculous little ears and that squishy chunky puppy belly. 😂❤️

He is exactly what puppies are supposed to be.

Happy. Silly. Curious. Wiggly. Innocent.

He has every reason in the world to be afraid of people.

Instead, he runs toward them.

That gets me.

This baby survived the worst part of his story. Please don’t let the shelter become the place where he spends the rest of his puppyhood.

Jelly Bean is at that PERFECT age. He is young enough to grow up alongside your children. Young enough to learn your routine. Young enough to be introduced and trained appropriately with cats. Young enough to become the dog who has been beside your family for what feels like forever.

The dog waiting at the door when the kids get home.

The dog stretched across your couch even though you swore dogs weren’t getting on the furniture.

The dog who someday has a gray muzzle while you tell people, “We got him when he was just a baby.”

That life is sitting right in front of him. He just needs someone to choose him.

Jelly Bean isn’t asking for pity.

He’s asking for a future.

And my goodness, does this little boy have every reason in the world to LIVE one.

He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on his vaccines, and READY.

No more house of horrors.

No more watching other dogs go home.

No growing up in a shelter.

Jelly Bean survived his beginning.
Now somebody PLEASE give him his forever. 🖤🤍

If you can’t adopt him, SHARE HIM. Somewhere out there is the person who is going to look at those ridiculous ears, that speckled chest, those puppy eyes and that chunky belly and say:

“That’s my dog.”

Help us find them.
