Bibb County Engineering and Road Department is currently seeking applications for the positions of:
LABORER:
Must have the ability to perform routine manual labor as required including the use of hand tools such as chain saws, axes, bush axes, shovels and other tools related to road building, maintenance, and safety.
• Position requires working outside in the elements, heat, cold, rain etc. and standing for extended periods of time.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Must be available for periodic overtime and call out during emergencies.
• Must be willing to work outside the scope of this job description as needed.
EQUIPMENT OPERATOR:
Applicants must be skilled in the operation of a wide variety of heavy equipment used in road and bridge construction and maintenance. This may include but is not limited to; bush hog tractors, front end loaders, backhoes, motor graders, gradall, bull dozers and pothole patchers.
• Will be responsible for performing safety and maintenance inspections on equipment to be operated and informing mechanics when repair work is needed.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Position requires working outside in the elements, this includes heat, cold, rain etc.
• Must be willing to work periodic overtime.
• Must be available for call out during emergencies.
• Must be willing to work outside the scope of your job description as needed.
TRUCK DRIVERS:
• Valid CDL License is required. (Class A or 😎
• Requires performing safety and maintenance inspections of your equipment daily and informing mechanics when repair or maintenance work is needed.
• Position requires working outside in the elements, this includes heat, cold, rain, etc.
• Must be willing to work periodic overtime.
• Must be available for call out during emergencies.
• Must be willing to work outside the scope of this job description as needed.
