On June 13, 2026, Bibb EMA along with multiple law enforcement agencies will be conducting active shooter training at West Blocton Schools. This training is geared towards improving our response capabilities to potential threats in our schools. Please note that this training is not open to the public. We kindly ask that you refrain from visiting the schools during this time to help minimize any potential risks of injury.

FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY for a foggy start, but a much quieter Mother’s Day ahead ⬇️

Areas of dense fog will impact parts of Alabama early this morning with visibility dropping below 1/4 mile at times. Conditions should improve by around 9 AM.

After that:
•Partly sunny skies
•Highs at or above 80°
•Mainly dry throughout the day

Rain chances for this evening have backed off as wet weather to our west may struggle to reach the area. The latest guidance now suggests scattered storms and showers after 5AM Monday as a cold front moves through. No severe weather is expected.

Once this front passes, dry weather settles in for the rest of next week with cool mornings and warm afternoons. Highs could reach the mid to upper 80s next weekend.
