On June 13, 2026, Bibb EMA along with multiple law enforcement agencies will be conducting active shooter training at West Blocton Schools. This training is geared towards improving our response capabilities to potential threats in our schools. Please note that this training is not open to the public. We kindly ask that you refrain from visiting the schools during this time to help minimize any potential risks of injury.

Happy Birthday, Deputy Leo Minor!

Sheriff Jody Wade, deputies, and staff of the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office would like to wish Deputy Leo Minor a very happy birthday.

Deputy Minor oversees courthouse security and has faithfully served with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office since January 2009. He also retired from the Vance Police Department after years of dedicated service.

We are thankful for his commitment, experience, and continued service to Bibb County. Happy Birthday, Deputy Minor!

This week, Sheriff Jody Wade, the deputies, and staff of the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office would like to wish all of our corrections officers a very Happy Corrections Officer Week.

We are grateful for the dedicated corrections officers at the Bibb County Jail who work hard every day to help keep our community safe. Their professionalism, sacrifice, and commitment do not go unnoticed.

Today, we had the opportunity to join our corrections officers at the jail, and we would also like to thank everyone who helped prepare food and show appreciation for our staff during this special week.

Corrections officers play an important role in law enforcement and in the daily operations and safety of our jail. Thank you for everything you do for Bibb County.

We had a great time at West Blocton Elementary School today for Career Day!
