We are deeply saddened to share that on April 9th, our county lost a valued member of our 4-H family. Kendall Reuwer was a dedicated and inspiring member of the Pony Express 4-H Club for over six years. She was involved in nearly every part of the program—speed shows, fair, public speaking, drill team, horse bowl, hippology, and horse judging—and represented our state at the national level in Louisville, Kentucky. Kendall was a true leader, serving as Vice-President and then President of the Pony Express Club. She stepped up whenever needed, led by example, and earned recognition for her leadership, perfect attendance, and club commitment. More importantly, Kendall was someone others looked up to—a dependable teammate, a kind friend, and a positive presence. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Reuwer family during this incredibly difficult time. Please keep Kendall’s family and friends in your hearts, and take care of yourselves and each other.

We’re still reflecting on another incredible fair week and want to thank our amazing community (and friends who travel from all over!) for supporting our local county fair. Our 4-Hers take immense pride in their projects—whether it’s sewing, woodworking, photography, to raising a market project or growing a dairy herd. Your support helps them learn, grow, and proudly showcase their hard work over six unforgettable days.

Of course, none of this would be possible without the dedication of our volunteers. From organizing and inputting entries, preparing the fairgrounds, or lending a hand throughout the week, their countless hours make the fair possible. 👏

We can’t wait to see you again in 2026! Mark your calendars for August 10–15! 🗓And to our 4-Hers heading to the Maryland State Fair over the next three weekends, we wish you the best of luck!🍀
