The Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) program equips cattlemen with science-based best practices in animal care, handling, and herd health to improve cattle performance and produce safe, high-quality beef. We are hiring a Forestry, Wildlife, and Natural Resources Extension Agent to serve a ten-county region in Alabama, and will most likely be housed at the Chilton County office. This role is all about connecting landowners, communities, and professionals with research-based education and outreach related to forestry, wildlife, and natural resources. The areas served are the Central Alabama Region (St. Clair, Jefferson, Shelby, Bibb, Chilton, Autauga, Elmore, Lowndes, and Montgomery Counties).

The selected agent will:
✔️ Lead workshops, meetings, and educational programs
✔️ Develop outreach through publications, social media, and emerging technologies
✔️ Work alongside Extension Agents, County Directors, and Specialists across the state
✔️ Assist with grants, applied research, and demonstrations
✔️ Build strong partnerships with local communities and organizations

Bibb County's very own 4-H Agent, Holly Hall, is doing great things!🤩

Alabama Extension is representing Auburn University well in the Alabama Cattlemen's Association Young Cattlemen’s Leadership Program!

YCLP Class XIII consists of 24 emerging leaders in Alabama’s agriculture industry. The group will meet 6 times at different locations across the state throughout the year to learn from and network with industry partners and organizations.
