Incident: MVC
On 08/29 deputies responded to Bennet Point Road at Sayers Forest Road in Queenstown for a report of a motor vehicle collision. Upon arrival, two vehicles were located with disabling damage. An investigation revealed that one of the drivers crossed the center line and struck the other vehicle head on. The at fault driver was issued appropriate citations.
Incident: Weapons Complaint
On 08/29 deputies responded to Conquest Road at Spaniard Neck Road in Centreville for a report of an Amazon driver being followed by individuals with a shotgun. Upon arrival the driver advised he encountered the suspects near Hunter Lane and C**n Box Road where they began following him while holding the gun. They were last seen leaving the area in a red pickup truck.
Incident: Theft from Vehicle
On 08/28 deputies took a report for theft from a vehicle. The victim advised sometime between 5:15PM and 6:00PM her purse was stolen from her unlocked vehicle while parked in front of Dock House restaurant.
Incident: Fraud
On 08/27 DFC Coale took a report for fraud. The victim advised his AT&T account was used to purchase a phone by an unknown person.
Incident: Theft
On 08/27 DFC Willis responded to 4-H Park Road in Centreville for a report of a stolen trailer tag. The tag was entered into NCIC as stolen.
Incident: Fraud
On 08/26 DFC Mills took a report for fraud. The victim advised she had joined a Facebook group attempting to buy Savannah Banana tickets. While doing so a “seller” convinced her to buy $900 in gift cards as payment for tickets. After providing the gift information the suspect continued requesting additional money and did not provide the tickets.
Incident: Burglary
On 08/26 deputies responded to Scottown Road in Queenstown for a report of burglary. The homeowner advised an unknown person broke into his home where they stole a backpack and money.
Incident: Property Damage
On 08/25 deputies responded to a Centreville property for a report of a tractor trailer that had run over a septic system. The caller advised the truck turned around in his front yard and caused damage to septic fields. A nearby business owner advised the tractor trailer was delivering items to her business and shared their contact information. The company advised they would respond to the scene to investigate what occurred.
Incident: MVC
On 08/24 deputies responded to Main Street in Chester for a report of a motor vehicle collision. Upon arrival deputies located a running vehicle with its door open, but no driver. The suspected driver was found in the area in a vehicle and advised his friend had been driving him. Deputies contacted the registered owner of the vehicle, the man’s mother, who advised he had been using the vehicle for work. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Incident: Malicious Destruction of Property
On 08/24 deputies responded to Buckingham Drive in Stevensville for a report of MDOP. The victim advised an unknown person had shattered a window of her vehicle, valued at $500. No items were taken from the vehicle.
Incident: Abandoned Vehicle
On 08/24 deputies responded to Bear Pond Road at Barclay Road in reference to a trailer blocking the road. Deputies contacted a nearby neighbor who was able to provide the information of the owner. Deputies were unable to contact the owner and the trailer was towed.
Incident: Theft
On 08/24 Deputy Porter took a report of theft at Subway in Stevensville. The employee advised an African American male entered the store and stolen an online order from the rack, valued at $16.41.
Incident: Stolen Vehicle
On 08/23 DFC Mayo responded to Wi******er Creek Road in Grasonville for a report of a stolen vehicle. The victim advised his vehicle had been stolen sometime overnight. An investigation revealed the vehicle had been recovered early in the morning by Maryland State Police in a ditch on the side of Rt. 50 near Jackson Creek Road.
Incident: Traffic Incident
On 08/23 DFC Lane conducted a traffic stop at Starr Road and Grange Hall Road for a vehicle traveling 91mph in a posted 50mph zone. The driver was issued the appropriate citations.
Incident: MVC
On 08/23 deputies responded to the area of Prospect Bay Dr. and Fairway Island for a motor vehicle crash involving a low-speed vehicle (LSV). An investigation revealed a teenager had been driving the vehicle and while attempting to make a turn, caused the vehicle to flip and skid, ejecting her from the vehicle, causing serious injuries.
Incident: Warrant Service
On 08/21 and 08/22 deputies responded to Pier One Road multiple times attempting to serve two arrest warrants, a peace order, and a breach of lease order on the same person, while also making contact regarding her involvement in a malicious destruction of property case.
The woman managed to avoid contact and service attempts made by multiple deputies across shift groups. On 08/22 deputies began conducting surveillance and observed her exiting her home, where she was taken into custody without incident.
Incident: Malicious Destruction of Property
On 08/21 deputies responded to Pier One Road regarding a community member possibly in need of assistance. Upon arrival deputies learned the woman had been throwing items off a balcony and had damaged a gutter while doing so. Deputies attempted to contact the woman without success.
Incident: Theft
On 08/20 deputies responded to Bennett Point Road in Queenstown for a report of theft. The victim advised three of his deer feeders had been stolen from his property, valued at $200 a piece.
Incident: Theft
On 08/19 DFC Johnson responded to a Centreville residence for a report of past theft. The victim advised his ex-girlfriend stole a water jug containing approximately $2,500.
Incident: Fraud
On 08/19 DFC Fogarty took a report for fraud. The victim advised on 08/17 a check that was sent out by her company via mail had been sold on the dark web and was caught by the company’s bank auditor. The company was able to place a stop on the check, and no funds were lost.
Incident: Identity Theft
On 08/19 Cpl. Matteson took a report for identity theft. The victim advised he had been contacted by a “Sgt. Fisher” of the QAC Sheriff’s Office (who we do not have) and was advised he had two federal warrants for missing jury duty.
The suspect requested the victim send $21,000 to make the warrants go away. The suspect then proved he had the victim’s full name, DOB, and social security number, attempting to get him to pay, which he did not. The victim was referred to the Social Security Administration.
Incident: Assault
On 08/18 deputies responded for a report of assault. The victim advised an unknown male operating a black dodge charger was having an argument with another person. When the victim confronted him, the suspect threatened to shoot the victim, then maced him. He was last seen heading NB on Rt. 213.
Incident: MVC
On 08/17 deputies responded to Mason Branch Lane at Three Pines Road for a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival deputies located an overturned vehicle, with all occupants outside of the vehicle. Out of precaution, a child on scene was flown to Shock Trauma.
