Update!! Whitney science building is up with students in it. The teachers AND students appreciate the things they can do now that they couldn't before... These investments will pay off and our community is richer for it. Next up-- Cerritos & Gahr.

Amazing. BB approved in 2018. By years end 2021 we will have 2 high schools improved -- 1 new field & 1 new science building & playgrounds. Thank you volunteers.

Update: Round 1 of BB is paying for security upgrades at our schools, Science buildings at Artesia and Whitney are in the works, and playgrounds & shade at our elementary schools. We will be building 6 Kinder bathrooms at 6 different schools this summer. The oversight committee will have some work ahead of it.

Just a clarification: BB was created to modernize our schools and make them safe with INFRASTRUCTURAL improvements. Security Cameras, Fences, renovated bathrooms, 21'st century classrooms, Science Buildings and AC for gyms. We are NOT supposed to pay ongoing salaries-- there is a Bond Oversight committee to ensure that we follow that mandate.

“School safety is the most important aspect of Measure BB. Today contractors walked campus to identify installation points for a closed circuit security camera system. Look for that system to be fully operational by late November. ”
