🚧🌳 Kennett Township Public Works Updates 🌳🚧

Here’s what’s happening around the Township in the coming weeks:

🛣️ Buck Toe Road Update
Paving of the portion of Buck Toe Road disturbed during the culvert replacement is scheduled for the week of September 8, 2026. Thank you for your patience as we complete this work!

🥾 Trail Connection Update
Our Public Works team is working with the Kennett Trails Alliance on a new section of trail connecting Pennock Park to South Mill Road. 🌿

🎉 Mark your calendars! A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, September 24 at 4:00 PM. The new trail connection will utilize the recently completed pedestrian crossing over the railroad tracks adjacent to Pennock Park. 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

🌱 Roadside Mowing
Our Public Works team continues its efforts on the township-wide roadside mowing project. Please help keep everyone safe by using extra caution when passing the mower. 🚜⚠️

Unfortunately, due to today’s weather forecast, the outdoor activities planned for Third Thursday: The Art of Community have been cancelled for tonight, August 20.

But you can still make a night of it in Kennett Square!

Free parking will still be available in the parking garage, and we encourage you to head downtown and enjoy dinner or drinks at one of your favorite State Street restaurants.
