🎉 Happy Birthday, Cadet Snyder! 🎉

Snyder jumped into the Army with both feet last semester, enlisting in the Nebraska Army National Guard as an 09R and began drilling with her unit to gain practical experience.

She’s locked in this semester and ready for the opportunity ahead. The experience she’s gained through ROTC and drilling with her unit will serve her well as she steps into a Squad Leader role this fall, helping lead and mentor our incoming freshmen.

We’re excited to see Snyder continue to grow, take on new challenges, and show what she’s capable of this semester.

Happy Birthday, Snyder! 🇺🇸🎂

Congratulations to Cadets Gonzalez and Simpson! 🇺🇸

Please join us in congratulating CDT Gonzalez and CDT Simpson on their successful graduation from 1st Regiment, Cadet Summer Training (Basic Camp) at Fort Knox, Kentucky!

Their accomplishment marks a significant milestone—not only for them personally, but for the Mount Rushmore BN Army ROTC. Both cadets represent Chadron State College, and are the first from the battalion to graduate Cadet Summer Training Basic Camp in the past eight years!

Over the past month, they were challenged physically, mentally, and as leaders while developing the skills expected of future Army officers. Through training in small-unit leadership, land navigation, tactical operations, drill and ceremony, and field operations, they gained the confidence, knowledge, and experience that will serve them well as they enter their MSIII year and prepare to assume greater leadership responsibilities within the battalion. Those lessons will strengthen not only their own development, but also the cadets they will lead and mentor throughout the coming year.

Congratulations again to CDT Gonzalez and CDT Simpson on this outstanding achievement. We also recognize CDT Simpson, a member of the Nebraska Army National Guard, as she continues her development as both a Soldier and future Army officer.

Cadets Simpson and Gonzalez have officially made it to Fort Knox, Kentucky, to begin Army ROTC Basic Camp as the final two Chadron State College ROTC cadets to take on summer training this year, and we are proud to see them representing the War Eagles Company.

Over the next 32 days, they will get hands-on training in land navigation, weapons familiarization, obstacle courses, rappelling, first aid, field training, and team-based leadership challenges. It will be a busy month full of early mornings, new experiences, and plenty of chances to grow alongside cadets from across the country.

Good luck, Cadets Simpson and Gonzalez! Enjoy the challenge, make the most of the experience, and represent CSC well.

Happy Birthday to Cadet DeWitt!

Cadet DeWitt has been a tremendous contributor to the War Eagles Company and Mount Rushmore Battalion. As the only MS1 cadet supporting summer training, she continues to set herself apart through her eagerness to learn, positive attitude, and willingness to step up wherever needed.

From representing the program through Color Guards to gaining valuable experience alongside fellow cadets and cadre this summer, Cadet DeWitt continues to show what it means to lead from the front.

Join us in wishing Cadet DeWitt a very happy birthday! 🎉

Cadet DeWitt is spending time this summer supporting Cadet Summer Training (CST) as OPFOR, helping to make training realistic for MSIII cadets while also getting a firsthand look at what awaits her in the future.

It’s not every day you get to support the mission and learn from it at the same time. This experience gives her a sneak peek into the demands of CST, the expectations placed on cadets, and the leadership development that happens throughout the summer at Fort Knox.

Great work representing the War Eagles!

Trust your training.

This week, Chadron State Army ROTC cadre SFC Page had the opportunity to support Wyoming JCLC, helping cadets conquer the rappel tower and push beyond their comfort zones.

Cadets from Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, and Nebraska came together to challenge themselves, build lasting connections, and develop leadership skills that will serve them well into the future. Whether taking that first step over the edge or encouraging teammates from below, every challenge was an opportunity to build confidence, courage, and teamwork.

We’re proud to support programs like JCLC that bring together future leaders from across the region and provide experiences that inspire growth, resilience, and leadership.
