On behalf of the Chagrin Valley Fire Department, I wanted to extend our sincerest gratitude for your participation in the Cleveland Foodbank's Harvest for Hunger Food Drive. We are pleased to announce that, together, we were able to collect over 3700 pounds of food and household items.

As you may know, we have been participating in this program for over 20 years now and have seen tremendous success from our communities. Your continued support and participation is vital to the success of this program and the communities that it serves.

Your generous donation of food has made a significant impact in the lives of many families in need. We are proud to be part of a community that understands the importance of giving back and helping those in need.

CALLING ALL FOOD TRUCK!!!!!!!!!
Open Application: 2026 Heights-Hillcrest Regional MFU Inspection Event: All City Permits Waived!

The South Euclid Fire Department, along with 20 partner cities, will host Regional Mobile Food Unit (MFU) inspection days on Thursday, March 26th, and Friday, March 27th, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Inspection Details:

- Scheduling: Inspections will be scheduled via Google Calendar in 30-minute increments for groups of 6 to 8 trucks.
- On-site Services: The Cuyahoga County Board of Health will be present. A fire extinguisher servicing company will also be available to service or tag equipment. You may purchase a certified 2026 5 lb. ABC extinguisher on-site if needed.
- Benefits: Participating cities have agreed to waive their individual MFU permit fees (a savings of $25–$50 per city). Upon completion, you will receive a 2026 Heights-Hillcrest Regional MFU CALLING ALL

Required Actions:
1. Complete the attached Google Document and upload the following:
- Liability insurance paperwork
- Gas-line pressure testing paperwork
- 2026 Board of Health paperwork
2. If you plan to operate in Avon, Highland Heights, or Mayfield Village, please complete and upload their specific city applications to the Google Document as well.

were you able to sleep last night? The women and men of the fire department were up, that’s okay, it’s our job and we love it. All of our neighboring fire departments are in the same boat, once again: we’re at the mercy of the Utility company just like everyone else, they’re trying hard to keep up with a huge storm that swept through our area. Stay safe, stay away from powerlines, be patient!

We’ve run over 40 calls in the last two hours, each one has been addressed with the power company. if you see an area barricaded or taped off, please do not enter the area. We do not have an eta for power restoration. We will continue to run but expect wires to arc, trees and grass to smolder.

In a joint effort, between the Chagrin Valley Fire Department and the villages that we serve, we will be collecting for the Greater Cleveland Food Bank’s annual Harvest for Hunger Campaign. Donation boxes will be found in all public city buildings. You can donate your Non-perishable food and household items throughout the month of March. Donations made will help fight hunger in 21 North-East Ohio’s counties. Last year with our combined efforts we were able to collect and donate over 2600 lbs. of food and over $600 dollars in donations. I believe this community wide effort will make a big difference in many people’s lives. So clean out your pantries at home and let’s make 2026 the best year yet.

The Foodbanks most needed items:

Cereal (hot or cold)
Peanut butter
Canned tuna/chicken
Canned fruits and vegetables
Canned or boxed entrees
Whole grain rice and pasta
Beans (canned or dried)
100% juice
Pasta sauce (low sodium)

Chagrin Valley Fire Department would like to send our condolences to FF Darrell Rose's family, Bainbridge Firefighters, and all other friends and family. May he rest in peace.

Bainbridge Firefighters are mourning the loss of Firefighter/Paramedic Darrell Rose. Darrell was a dedicated member since 2005, and charter full-time member since 2017. He loved his 2 children. Darrell will be missed. Please keep his family in your prayers.
