Allegheny County is expecting another round of extreme weather to begin at approximately 4 PM, with the worst expected 5 PM through 7 PM with another 1-1.5” of rain. As the weather event is expected around the rush hour, Allegheny County Emergency Services (ACES) is advising the public to be aware of that and to consider making alternative arrangements to get home from work as traffic will be impacted by the weather, heavy rain and any resulting impacts – i.e., flooding, trees and wires down, etc.

ACES also advises municipalities and members of the public to take the opportunity to check that the routing of rain downspouts is away from homes and structures, and that storm grates are clear.

As always, we will provide information relative to road closures and other impacts on the county's Twitter account: www.twitter.com/.
