The 17th Annual "Ride the Bayhorse" event was a success! Trail riders from around the west gathered at Land of the Yankee Fork State Park for a day of mountainous adventure. Lots of miles were ridden with stops made along the way providing interpretive information, and lunch at Bayhorse Ghost Town.

Public Information: A section of trail 4052 along Beardsley Creek that was previously designated as 50" or less has been converted to a 80" Jeep trail designation. This trail ties Bayhorse Ghost Town into the remaining portion of road 4052 to Garden Creek. In addition, trail 4260 has been converted to an 80" Jeep trail designation. This provides route access from Bayhorse Lakes over Ramshorn Mountain into road 4052 leading to Garden Creek. This provides additional trail connectivity between Bayhorse Ghost Town and Challis, ID for over 50" OHV users.

4159 and 4096 remain 50" or less OHV trails and oversized OHV usage is illegal. If you have questions, please call Land of the Yankee Fork State Park at (208) 879-5244. Thank You.

Come out to Land of the Yankee Fork State Park for the 17th Annual "Ride the Bayhorse" OHV Riding Event! Enjoy a day filled with trail riding and learn about the local mining history along the way. Lunch including hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks will be provided at Bayhorse Ghost Town during the event. There will be routes that accommodate oversize OHVs during the event.

Land of the Yankee Fork State Park staff and volunteers have been out doing trail work throughout the Land of the Yankee Fork area. This work allows the trails to remain open and safe to the public.
