Ms. Readhead’s 5th grade class and Ms. Letort’s 1st grade class teamed up for a special buddy activity today! Our 5th graders introduced themselves to their new first-grade buddy, spent time reading together, and even showed them how to access ARP tests.

It was great to see our 5th grade students step into leadership roles while our first graders soaked up every minute with their new friends. Lots of reading, learning, and new friendships were made today!

🥞🪓 Fairy Tale & Tall Tale Day Fun! 🪓🥞

Mrs. Tortorich celebrated Fairy Tale & Tall Tale Day today as Paul Bunyan! She even brought the story to life by making pancakes for all of our second graders! 🥞💚💛

🧚‍♀️🏰 Once Upon a Time in Second Grade… 🏰🧚‍♂️

Today, our Arlene Meraux second graders celebrated the end of their Fairy Tales & Tall Tales Unit! 📚✨ Students dressed as their favorite characters and rotated through all four second-grade classrooms, completing fun centers inspired by fairy tales and tall tales. 💚💛🐝

🍀🐊 Our First 4-H Meeting of the Year! 🐊🍀

We kicked off our first 4-H meeting of the year at Arlene Meraux Elementary with a little extra excitement! 💚💛

Students had the opportunity to sign up for 4-H enrollment AND meet and pet a baby alligator! 🐊 How cool is that?!

We’re looking forward to a fun year filled with learning, leadership, new experiences, and plenty of 4-H adventures! 🍀

Our 4th graders had an ENERGY-filled day at the planetarium! ☀️⚡️🔋✨ Students became scientists as they explored different forms of energy through hands-on experiments, made observations, and worked together to see energy in action! 🔬💡 They ended their adventure with a movie all about the Sun and how its energy powers our world! ☀️🌎🎬

Nothing beats learning when we can see it, test it, and experience it! 💚💛🐝
