Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.

Memorial Day is a time to reflect on the courage, dedication, and selflessness of those who have their lives protecting the freedoms we enjoy every day.

As we spend time with family and friends, let us never forget the true meaning of this day and the heroes who made it possible.

From Franklin County Veterans Affairs, we thank and remember our fallen service members and their families.

I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has donated to our department since my arrival last year.

Your generosity has made a tremendous impact on the veterans of Franklin County and has allowed us to continue supporting those who have served our country.

The support from our community truly makes a difference, and it is greatly appreciated. Thank you for standing behind our veterans and helping us continue our mission each and every day.

Veterans: Your C&P Exams Matter

A VA claim is often decided during the Compensation & Pension (C&P) exam. Be honest, detailed, and do NOT downplay your symptoms

The VA looks at:
1. Current diagnosis
2. Service connection
3. Severity of symptoms
4. How your condition impacts daily life

Be prepared to clearly explain your limitations, flare-ups, and functional impacts. Your statement during the exam become part of the evidence used to determine your rating.
