Franklin County Republicans Build Momentum Heading Into Critical
Fall Election Season
CHAMBERSBURG, PA - The Franklin County Republican Committee is heading into the fall election season
with renewed energy and a clear focus on engaging voters and turning that enthusiasm into action at the ballot
box.
Over the past several weeks, Franklin County Republicans have gathered for two significant events highlighting both the strength of the Republican ticket and the importance of grassroots involvement in the months ahead.
On August 8, the Franklin County Republican Committee hosted its annual summer event, the FCRC
All-American BBQ, bringing together Republicans for an afternoon of fellowship and conversations as the
committee prepares for the work ahead.
Candidates, elected officials, committee members, and supporters were among those in attendance. Jason Richey, Republican candidate for Lieutenant Governor, served as the keynote speaker. Congressman John
Joyce, Senator Doug Mastriano, and State Representative Rob Kauffman also addressed those gathered,
along with FCRC Chair Ruth Ebersole.
Just days later, Republicans from Franklin County and beyond gathered for a Farewell Celebration hosted by
Senator Doug Mastriano and his wife, Rebbie, as they prepare for their next chapter. The evening reflected on
Mastriano’s years of service in the Pennsylvania Senate and the Walk as Free People movement. It also
recognized the many volunteers and supporters who have been part of that journey.
During the evening, Senator Mastriano publicly endorsed Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity for Governor,
bringing the focus back to the elections ahead and the future of Republican leadership in Pennsylvania.
“These events show that there is a lot of enthusiasm among Republicans in Franklin County,” said FCRC Chair
Ruth Ebersole.
“But enthusiasm by itself doesn’t win an election. We have work to do between now and Election Day, and we need people willing to be part of it.”
The Franklin County Republican Committee is putting that energy to work through a series of Days of Action, giving volunteers practical ways to reach voters and help increase Republican turnout throughout the county.
The effort begins with Volunteer Training and Preparation at FCRC Headquarters on Saturday, August 22 at 10:00 a.m. Both longtime committee members and those who have never been involved before are
encouraged to attend. Volunteers will learn more about the work planned for the fall and how they can help.
The next Day of Action will coincide with the FCRC Headquarters seasonal re-opening on Thursday,
September 3 at 5:30 p.m., followed by additional Days of Action throughout September and October.
Upcoming dates include:
Saturday, August 22 at 10:00 a.m.
- Volunteer Training & Preparation
Thursday, September 3 at 5:30 p.m.
- Headquarters Grand Opening & Day of Action
Thursday, September 24 at 5:30 p.m.
- Day of Action
Saturday, October 10 - Day of Action, time to be announced
Thursday, October 22 at 5:30 p.m.
- Day of Action
Activities will center on voter outreach and the work needed to strengthen Republican turnout in Franklin
County.
“This is the time to get off the sidelines,” Ebersole said.
“There is a place for everyone who wants to help. You don’t have to be a committee member, and you don’t have to commit every week. If you can give us an hour or an evening, that matters. We need people willing to talk to their neighbors and help us make sure Republican voters have a plan to vote - either by mail ahead of Election Day or in person at the polls on November 3.”
The Franklin County Republican Committee is encouraging Republicans from across the county, not only current committee members, to participate.
“We have a strong Republican county, but we cannot take that for granted,” Ebersole added.
“If we want to keep it that way and help elect Republicans across Pennsylvania, we have to be willing to put in the work. That is what these Days of Action are about.”
FCRC Headquarters is located at 1931 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg.

🚜🇺🇸 Celebrating Franklin County Agriculture!

A huge thank you to Allen and Lori Rice, owners and operators of Dream Farms in Newburg, Pennsylvania, for hosting an incredible farm tour and showcasing one of Franklin County’s greatest strengths our agricultural sector!

🌾 Franklin County is home to some of the highest-quality non-irrigated farmland in Pennsylvania, making agriculture an incredibly important part of both our local economy and our heritage. Through their network of farms across the county, Dream Farms helps provide quality heifers to farms throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

Today’s tour gave our elected officials a firsthand look at local agricultural operations and an opportunity to hear directly from those in the industry about how legislation and policy decisions can impact our farmers, farmland, and agricultural economy.

Agriculture is a vital part of Franklin County’s heritage and future, and opportunities like today help keep our local leaders connected with the people who work every day to keep it strong.
