Friends of the Chamblee Library The Friends of the Chamblee Library was formed to support and advocate for our library in Chamblee, Georgia, and the DeKalb County Library System.

WHAT WE DO:
Friends raise money through dues and book sales to fund many important services at their local library branches such as: Books and other materials for collection development

Support for vacation reading program
Teen book club
Sponsor children’s performers and programs
Cultural programs
Library equipment and facility improvements

blee Library is a non-profit group that is committed to family literacy, young adult programs, and community involvement via action and financial support to literacy programming at the Chamblee Library in Chamblee, Ga

Please join us and hear more about what we are doing to help our local library. Make plans to stop soon. Gone will be the dust, tarps, and
construction and fresh, new restrooms will be open for patrons and staff! We just have a few finishing touches to go!

Friends, if you have been by our library recently you have noticed the welcome, if somewhat inconvenient, construction underway. We are getting NEW BATHROOMS. So pardon our progress and see you at the library. (Our book sales will continue when the remodel is finished. In the meantime, be sure to check out the staff sales table. Chamblee Library now has a fantastic games and puzzles collection for everyone to enjoy! This was the initiative of one of our teen patrons. It is already very popular. Come see!

We only ask that you help us keep the collection intact by doing your part and ensuring all pieces are accounted for before they are returned to the branch.

Friends, we had a very successful book sale last month. Thank you to all who donated, volunteered or bought books to support our wonderful, neighborhood library.

Do you ever wonder what we do with our proceeds, 100% of which goes right to the library? Well, we just funded an Adult Take & Make craft of Paper Flower Bouquets! It was a HUGE hit! All kits were gone within the first few hours of opening. Patrons have requested a repeat of this craft in the near future. funded the project. Watch out for more such events!
