Twenty-five years later, we remember the innocent lives stolen and the first responders who gave everything in the face of unimaginable evil. We honor their sacrifice, remember their courage, and will never forget.

Today, the Paxton Police Department mourns the loss of Lynn Ann Ingold (July 14, 1950 – April 9, 2026).

For those who may not know, Lynn was married to Paxton Mayor William “Bill” Ingold for the past 55 years. Lynn was a true friend to our department and a strong supporter of law enforcement. She was an awesome person whose kindness and spirit touched many.

Today, our officers, City of Paxton employees, the Ford County Sheriff’s Office, family, and community members came together to honor her life. 🕊️

We extend our deepest condolences to Mayor Ingold and the Ingold family.

Rest easy, Lynn. 💙🚓
