We have a new Eagle in Rantoul!

She’s our newest Rantoul Eagle! 🦅 Welcome to 💛💜 RTHS School Resource Officer Anaya. Officer Anaya has been with RPD for 3 years, and comes to us from midnight shift patrol. She is a member of our METRO SWAT team, and a member of the Illinois National Guard. Welcome Officer Anaya to the RTHS family.

Today, the Paxton Police Department mourns the loss of Lynn Ann Ingold (July 14, 1950 – April 9, 2026).

For those who may not know, Lynn was married to Paxton Mayor William “Bill” Ingold for the past 55 years. Lynn was a true friend to our department and a strong supporter of law enforcement. She was an awesome person whose kindness and spirit touched many.

Today, our officers, City of Paxton employees, the Ford County Sheriff’s Office, family, and community members came together to honor her life. 🕊️

We extend our deepest condolences to Mayor Ingold and the Ingold family.

Rest easy, Lynn. 💙🚓
