Meet our English Language Development Teacher Mrs. Hernandez:
Hello Jacobson Elementary families! I am absolutely thrilled to join the wonderful Jacobson community this year! As a Chandler native, my roots in this community run deep, and I have had the absolute privilege of being a part of CUSD for the past 20 years.
I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University (Go Devils!) and went on to complete my Master’s in Bilingual and Multicultural Education from Northern Arizona University. My journey in education has allowed me to teach Kindergarten through second grade, and for the past four years, I have loved serving the English Language Learner community as an ELL teacher.
Outside of the classroom, my heart belongs to my family. We are a very competitive bunch, so you can usually find us competing in anything from ping-pong to softball! I love going to sporting events, watching movies, and traveling.
I am incredibly excited to work with your students, collaborate with you, and build a supportive, joyful classroom community together.
Let's make this an extraordinary school year!
