At our nonprofit organization, the boys and girls receive baseball mentoring and training to enhance their skills. The kids also participate in activities and take trips. Our Outreach Mentoring & Training There are 5 athletes that take mentor and train the children in our baseball outreach program. We hope to make their hopes and dream come true by exposing them to various opportunities through our program. Our Nonprofit Positive Role Models Outreach Youth Program, is a faith based organization that established more than 5 years ago to offer under privileged children the experience of a lifetime. With our many years of combined professional experience, we use a hands on approach to show them how to achieve their dreams rather than just read about them. Outreach Program Baseball Mentoring & Training Program Based in Chandler, Arizona Positive Role Models Outreach Youth Program, strives to offer inspire kids to become successful in everything they do, from sports to education. Our nonprofit organization in Chandler, Arizona, offers a baseball mentoring and training program for underprivileged children. Our philosophy is not where you come from but where your mind is. Our Program This is a 10 month program and each year we choose 25 boys and girls ages 12 to 17 from the community to participate in our outreach program. We also stay in constant contact with the principals and athletic directors of the child's school to make sure the kids stay on track with their education. Additionally, the kids must maintain a certain grade point average to stay in the program. Mentoring Children are taught how to behave and respect their fellow teammates. We always discuss and reiterate how to have self-control, be a winner, and have a positive attitude on and off the court. Training Former professional athletes train the children good sportsmanship and the game of baseball. The training takes place at various fields and parks in the phoenix metropolitan area. Activities The kids participate in many fun activities and trips through our [nonprofit organization]. Through educational fieldtrips to museums, library, or other place, they learn many different things about the sport. Another exciting activity for the kids is our banquets. During the banquet, we have many special guests for the kids to interact with including celebrities and former sports players.
